It was just ok...when I heard he was singing Beat It, I cringed...like Paula said, that song is untouchable. I really like him and hope he’ll be back next week to redeem himself.

He's a native North Carolinian. Raised in Chapel Hill where he now goes to school. His parents are from India.
He sings "Beat It". It's kinda cheesy.
Paula: Hi, Anoop! When you pick a song, it's your gift to show the world to show what you've got. But here come the boos. I think that song is untouchable. Anything else is karaoke.
Simon: I thought it was horrible. All very lightweight. It actually looked a bit stupid. A really bad impersonation.
Randy: Bad choice, Anoop-dog. Didn't work for me.
Kara: Since you can sing we didn't get to see you do any kind of variation. We felt disconnected.

Watching Anoop reminds me why I watch this show. Everyone likes to watch a train wreck. He nailed it. LOL... this would have been good if we were all drinking and doing karokee.... He would have been one of the best of the night because we could have all sang JUST BEAT IT with him.
