Details emerge on Jett Travolta's death

John Travolta, Kelly Preston and their children Jett and Ella Bleu, leave an airport in Rome.

John Travolta's lawyers -- who are close family friends -- reveal that Jett may have died in his father's arms Friday.

Us: How is John doing?

-snip- "John and Kelly are suffering total misery. They were so close to their son. This is hard to accept.

-snip-

Us: Have John and Kelly spent time with anyone since everyone arrived?

Ossi and McDermott: "John and Kelly have been pretty much locked away.

"We are staying here until John leaves. The autopsy should be on Monday.

-snip-

Us: It's been reported that Jett was left alone for several hours before being discovered. Can you clarify the timeline?

Ossi and McDermott: "Jett was not left alone. He had a nanny present at all times. The nanny was sleeping close to Jett's room. There was a baby monitor, a chime on the door so it was known when Jett was going in and out. He was completely supervised. The nanny found him.

Us: Is it true that Jett died in John's arms?

Ossi and McDermott: "Jett may have still been alive when John administered CPR, and then the EMT took over. Jett was pronounced dead at the hospital. I like to believe John had a chance to say goodbye. He may have died in his dad's arms. I am not certain."

Us: It's been said Jett had a history of seizures. How often did he have them?

Ossi and McDermott: "I am not confident to talk about that. I know he had a history, which of course warranted the extra attention."

-snip-

As it turns out one of the programs played the tape of his Anna Nicole Smith commenst last night; what he said was he "wished they had known about her drug problems and her sons drug problems, they would have tried to get them into Narcanon." Narcanon has had very good results. Narcanon is one of Kelly's projects, she helped open one in Hawaii to deal with the extreme meth problem on the islands.

RC If you are going to hijack a thread, at least get your stories correct.

Hijack a thread???? This thread is entitled Details.

And exactly how did I get the details wrong in my post. I am absolutely appalled that someone in the health profession as you claim you are...is such a BIG PROPONENT of Scientology.

Do you know anything about Narcanon? Or do you just believe the propaganda spin?

Read up on the New Life Detoxification Program. This is what Kelly put her disabled son through.

Here are just two letters about Narconon.

http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Narconon/sources/reports/kenney.htm

Btw, what do you think of Clinton helping the Scientologists through the State Dept with Bergers help?

Narconon, a company that Arizona Carolyn is recommending on this thread.

Here is what National Council Against Health Fraud
says:

To make matters worse, large doses of niacin are hepatotoxic and can cause serious liver damage. (SOUND FAMILIAR ???) It may also trigger gout, raise blood sugar into the diabetic range, cause itching, flushing and a rash.(SOUND FAMILIAR???) Nausea and gastritis are other side effects of large doses of niacin. To subject people to these potentially serious side effects on the pretense that they are being “detoxified”, “cleared” or “purified” is quackery.

Arizona Carolyn is irresponsibly promoting Narconon on this thread without duing critical research simply as a means to criticize me. I suggest she do some major research before she continues to promote it. She is in the health care industry and should not be promoting that quakery.

Kelly Preston Claimed that the Detox program removed many many years of radiation in her body.

Really??? Any scientific proof of that or just more propaganda spin to get people into Narconon (which some claim is really all about signing up people to Scientology)

Findings of FACT:
http://www.xenu.net/archive/oca/narconon/91report.html

Large doses of niacin are administered to patients during the Narconon program to rid the body of radiation. There is no credible scientific evidence that niacin in any way gets radiation out of the patient’s body. Rather, the more credible medical evidence supports the existence of potential medical risks to persons receiving high doses of niacin.

And yes, Kelly Preston subjected her disabled son to this nightmare.

Narconon, brainwashing, and the death of an epileptic woman in France .

http://www.cftf.com/french/Les_Sectes_en_France/cults.html

The County Court of Dijon, in addition, was brought, in a judgement of January 9, 1987 (No 118-87), to condemn the director-assistant of the Narconon center of Grangey- on-Ource for nonassistance to someone in danger. This center, created by the Church of Scientology, proposes detoxification by applying the methods of Ron Hubbard, namely the procedure of “purification,” based mainly on several hours of sauna per day, “auditions,” and a significant absorption of vitamins. In this case, the victim had been in long-term treatment for epilepsy and had addressed this organization because she wished “to be released from drugs.” The center A, without preliminary medical examination, placed her in a “weaning” room. However, the medical experts showed that her death was due to “an epileptic seizure due to the absence of sufficient treatment at its beginning and of emergency treatment during the seizure.” The judgement does not leave any doubt about the responsibility of the center:

“That if Jocelyne Dorfmann had made the decision to reduce her consumption of medication, then to stop it with the risk of compromising her health, the defendants had not at any time prevented it of the need for a medical examination of admission, which would have probably made it possible to contra-indicate the cure of weaning; that it is inconceivable that the victim could be accepted without this examination and serious treatment in spite of her declarations as to her health and her epilepsy, whereas the defendants admitted knowing that in the event of serious illness, medical treatment was not to suffer from interruption;

“That if at the time the first crisis occurred, the defendants could mistake its exact nature, the repetition of the crises and their increasing intensity were to evoke to them an origin distinct from a state of lack which, according to medical experts, cannot be confused with an epileptic state;

“That they did not consider it useful to directly ask the victim, while she was still conscious, if these demonstrations could correspond to the epileptic fits to which she had referred or to call upon the nearest doctor (...)”

Dr. Dave Touretzsky, a research scientist at Carnegie Mellon university
http://www.rickross.com/reference/scientology/history/history19.html

“Imagine a church so dangerous, you must sign a release form before you can receive its “spiritual assistance.” This assistance might involve holding you against your will for an indefinite period, isolating you from friends and family, and denying you access to appropriate medical care. You will of course be billed for this treatment - assuming you survive it. If not, the release form absolves your caretakers of all responsibility for your suffering and death.

Welcome to the Church of Scientology.”

Let me get to the bottom line as I am outraged that Arizona Carolyn came on to this thread promoting Narconon.

Here is the Scientology Contract. READ IT BEFORE YOU CRITICIZE ME.

http://www.xs4all.nl/~jeta/scn/scans/Introspection-Release.html

Kelly signed it. John signed it. They likely signed it on behalf of their son as the minor. He wouldn’t have been allowed him into the Detox if they hadn’t signed it.

I personally believe..for a number of reasons..that the Travoltas did not give Jett Depakote. That is my personal belief.

But I will assume for a minute that they did give him the drug.
Scientology would have exerted pressure to get him off that drug. Notice that there was no claim of trying other drugs? Notice that the detox program didn’t work. Notice that the mother of the PR spokesman has publicly said that Jett has severe mental problems....which by the way, goes against the contract:

“I do not believe in or subscribe to psychiatric labels for individuals It is my strongly held religious belief that all mental problems are spiritual in nature and that there is no such thing as a mentally incompetent person”

If one of your loved ones starts to get enamoured of this cult...make sure he knows ALL the publicly available facts..not just the Scientology spin...

How about Neal Boortz’s reply to certain callers: “Please don’t quote scripture to me.” :)

I'd opt for the view that wasn't recently thought up by a science fiction writer.

But that's just me.

And millions of other sane people. ;)

LOLOL

Perhaps the Scriptures of Hubbard are what should be quoted on this thread.

They believe:

“Yes. The writings and recorded spoken words of L. Ron Hubbard on the subject of Scientology collectively constitute the Scripture of the religion. He set forth the Scientology philosophy and technologies in more than 500,000 pages of writings, including dozens of books, and more than 2,000 tape-recorded lectures.”

So this would be “scripture” of the cult.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMom3y1zyZU

And I swear to you that reading his scripture blows my mind.

By the way,

this comment:

“Only a short time ago was it discovered that the preclear’s problem
was that he had epilepsy which he was controlling with drugs and of
which he was too ashamed to tell the auditor. Pretty wow! So you be
sure to watch this with your preclears.”

They want epileptics TO QUIT TAKING THEIR MEDICATION and the auditors need to watch that the preclears don’t lie because if they continue to take the drug..the emeters and such voodoo won’t work.

By the way, I am pretty sure the FBI thought Hubbard was nuts.

“Tarino, who was driving, said the Pulp Fiction star performed CPR on Jett as wife Kelly Preston, 46, looked on.

He said Travolta was crying and praying, adding: “I remember him looking up at the ceiling and saying, ‘God, please help me’.”

“Dr Yousef Mohammad, who has not treated Jett, said: “It is highly dangerous to take a patient off seizure medication.

“The only time we do that is if the patient has been seizure-free for two to three years.”

The neurologist and assistant professor at Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus added: “Depakote can rarely cause liver damage. But there are many alternatives.

“I would switch to Keppra, which is excreted by the kidneys, not the liver and is very safe.

“There are many new medications available...but you do not stop medication.” “

According to J. Edgar Hoover...(who had his own problems):

Hubbard’s wife charged in a divorce suit that he was “hopelessly insane” and had subjected her to “scientific torture experiments.” According to the article, “competent medical advisors recommended that Hubbard be committed to a private sanitarium for psychiatric observation and treatment of a mental ailment known as paranoid schizophrenia.””

This could account for his extreme hatred of the psychiatry profession..the foundation of the cult.

OH MY,,if true..maybe there is hope that he will get out of the cult..because they don’t believe in God.

There are so many sweet pictures of that kid and tears well up in my eyes when I think about what his life might have been like if it were not for this damned cult.

When you come back to this thread please explain your nasty comment about getting the story correct.
Here it is.

And also, I forget how you are involved in the medical profession. Do you work for a Dr.? If so, before you keep promoting Narconon ..you might want to ask him what he thinks about a dextox program that uses AT LEAST 100 MG a day of Niacin.

He did NOT say of Narconon in the interview MSNBC misquoted him, I saw the actual interview last night and he said AT Narconon.

BTW People die of seizures -- it HAPPENS to people who are not Scientologists like the Travoltas. Last year Hunter Tylo’s 19-year old son, Michael Tylo Jr., drowned in the family pool near Las Vegas. He too had a seizure disorder and even though his brother was home with him at the time, he walked outside, had a seizure and fell into the family swiming pool and drowned. The cause of his death was deemed: "seizure disorder."

And please stop referring to me in your posts without pinging me. That is not proper netiquite, you have been told by multiple people to stop it and you continue to do so. As a matter of fact, just don't refer to me or ping me at all. You are so over the top on this you have turned this thread into a religious vendetta thread, which is NOT what GVnana intended when she posted this article.

OF versus AT?????

Neither of which i said in my post that you criticized..you are really reaching.

The cult of Scientology is VERY relevant to Jett’s death and Neurologists and Doctors all over the world are talking about it.

And your diatribe about Hunter Tylo is not germaine to the point.

YES people die from seizures.

It happens.

But the reality is...JETT Travolta VERY LIKELY did not get adequate medical treatment because of their beliefs...and no one will ever know if he would have lived had they actually tried other drugs IF they tried any at all.

I have seen more than one quote from Doctors who have indicated that just trying one drug is not the appropriate course of treatment.

I am shocked at your responses about his treatment given that you are in the medical field...especially shocked at you promoting Narconon.
