A Dawning
Soft the pearl and rose of coming dawn
and I pause to greet it with open heart
For each is now of me such a vital part
and I welcome the moment before its gone
A beginning of day and life renewed for me
a place, a moment so set in colored relief
Set by a Master’s hand to augment my belief
illuminating the way for a soul to truly see

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS!
Amazing Grace
by John Newton
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. . Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, . And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed! . Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. . The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures. . Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace. . The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine. . When weve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, Weve no less days to sing Gods praise Than when wed first begun.

(To God Be All Excellent Praise!!)
To: The Mayor
Currently I am doing a Precept study on the little book of James. Already 4 weeks on chapter one and all the relevant cross references. It is so amazing. I have read though it many times now; and I am just realizing how all these verses connect to each other. I see new depth and connections I missed before.
Rich beautiful verses on how to live in Christ.
COUNT IT ALL JOY, MY BRETHREN WHEN YOU ENCOUNTER VARIOUS TRIALS/TESTS/TEMPTATIONS .
James 1:2-12
Profiting from Trials
“2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;
8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
The Perspective of Rich and Poor
9 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation,
10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.
11 For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.
Loving God Under Trials
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”
IT IS A POWERFUL CHAPTER (what is the lesson in this testing/trial/temptation for me?}
ASK GOD FOR THE WISDOM TO SEE THE LESSON AND UNDERSTAND IT.
I get so excited at the wonder of God's scriptures.
Our greatest treasure after life and salvation itself.
Precept studies are available on line ; however I have been doing them for several years, as morning bible studies in Church ... Kay Arthur is the teacher. EXCELLENT!
Mayor. Trust God— Jesus Christ Holy Spirit with all your heart,... Our times are in his hands.

“Lets be alert to what entices us today. A lapse opens the door to sin, which in turn may develop into a habit that overwhelms us. Dont permit a breach in the wall. “

I like smoked oysters. I’m sure I haven’t had them fixed any other way. I’ll bet they are terrif fried!!!
To: La Enchiladita
They are terrific. I don’t fry too much anymore but I do let it all hang out for oysters. I fix them the old fashioned way like my Mama did. I put my corn meal in a large baggie and drop about 6 oysters in a time and shake them around gently to get them covered. I use some butter and oil to my skillet, let it get hot and start frying. I cut the heat back and forth while I’m frying. I salt and pepper while they are in the skillet and add a little paprika for color.
Its easier if you have a deep fryer...I have a fry baby but I find it too much trouble....too much oil wasted.
Good to see you, Dita!
