Help I have a Border Collie / mix Dog He is 1 1/2 yrs old, he is a very smart dog, The other night I had to go looking for him and found him on a deer.... still alive! He has a sisiter that is 6 months old and is a Black Lab /mix. she to was with him shortly getting in on the action. I pulled him off. and scolded him allthe way home, this moring I let them out and went in to bake a cake, 30 min. i called them to come in and no one came. I put on my jacket and when out to look for them. Just as I started up the 4 wheeler they both came running around the shop and both are cover in blood. I called to the boder collie and asked him to show me what he caught and he took me to the dead deer. Is this something I shuld be worried about? How do I stop this from ever happening again, some one help! There must be a way I do not want to have to put him down. thank you

Go to the store and buy cheap pot pies and feed the dog as much of those as it wants. Give it peanut butter for snacks any time it wants.
Pretty soon your dog will be too fat to catch a tortoise.

He stalks the birds, but hasn’t caught any that I know about.
I can’t imagine myself on a hunt, let alone the dog,so I guess he’ll have to be content with the rodents he can find in the yard. I just wish he wouldn’t bring them into the living room to ‘share’.

Border Collie Temperament
