Discovery Channel Shroud of Turin documentary will air again this Saturday

In case you missed it last Sunday, the new Shroud documentary "Unwrapping the Shroud: New Evidence," will be airing again on Discovery Channel this coming Saturday evening, December 20 at 10:00pm eastern and again two hours later at 12:00am (early Sunday morning). Check your local listings for the exact time in your area.

I’ve checked the Discovery Channel schedule online and also my local on-screen guide, and I can’t find it being shown at all. I checked all the Discovery-related channels, and it isn’t showing up anywhere. Can you tell me where you found this information?

I just happened to notice that a troll who usually disrupts these threads didn’t show up this time, and I wondered why. I’ve since found out, he was either suspended or got a long overdue zot. Apparently, there’s a limit to how far a FReeper can go in mocking God. I don’t remember the zotted FReeper’s name. I guess it wasn’t important.

I have Direct - and Tivo’d it...

I would never remember anything either without using Yahoo! calendar. I call it my secretary. It gives me 4 notices on each event - I don't miss anything any more ;o)

I can't find it there either... but the announcement came yesterday in eMail from Barrie Schwortz who maintains the Shroud.com website and is the world wide clearing house of Shroud research and scholarship articles. Strange. Could it have been pulled?

Just a short note to let you know that the Discovery Channel has moved the rebroadcast of the new documentary, "Unwrapping The Shroud: New Evidence" to Monday, December 22, 2008 at 7:00pm. It will not be airing tonight (Saturday). Of course, an earlier time slot on a weekday will reach a larger audience. Once again, please check your local listings for the exact time in your area, although the last minute schedule change might not yet be reflected.

TV Guide still shows it playing tonight, but the Discovery Channel website now lists it for Monday.
