To Florida's credit, after that loss, they kicked butt. Then they beat the #1 team for the SEC title. That's why they're in the final. Probably would've been on top if your Sooners didn't rack up a record 700+ points this year.
It should be OU-UT for the championship. Maybe if Brown had politiced for that instead of complaining about a 5th tie breaker he might have convinced some people.
That would be sweet, wouldn't it?
Take VT and the points. VT’s Qb was gimpy for the last few games of the regular season. He was healthy for Boston College. VT’s defense mauled Boston College.
I was terrified that VT would draw Utah.
I was really pulling for VT to be unranked going into their BCS bowl game just to make a mockery of the system.
Guess Sanders won’t be playing in the Cotton Bowl...
Red Raiders’ Sanders arrested by DEA in drug bust...charged with felony possession with intent to distribute in excess of 50 grams of cocaine.
Crabtree’s roommate.

You're going to find out how "sorry" Ole Miss is after they whip Tech's a$$.
And the other irony is that Jevan Snead, Ole Miss’s QB transferred from Texas. So it would be delicious if he does what Colt McCoy couldn’t, beat Tech.
If I were Texas, I wouldn’t even go to that fraud called the Fiesta Bowl. I’d book a flight out to Florida and challenge the winners of that faux national championship to a game to be played the week afterward.

If every player on Texas’ team had played like Colt McCoy did against Tech this year, the Horns would have won. Please don’t forget Texas has beat Tech the last 2 out of 3 meetings.
So you’re advocating a 20 team playoff then? What a joke why not jut get rid of bowls all together..

LOL! That would be sweet!
Yes I am aware of that - we are all very unhappy that we had a drug dealer on the team and glad he’s gone. I’ll be sure to alert you the next time a texas player is caught doing the same thing.
We all know who really won it on the field, right? Enjoy the game, but you know in your heart that Texas belongs there...
Right after they beat Texas Tech.
They'll get their rematch next year, and the year after that, and the year after that....

It is very unfortunate. Also unfortunate is that it does not seem to be limited to Texas Tech or the University of Texas.
Texas Tech is, to be frank, irrelevant, IMHO. They beat Texas with a last second touchdown as Texas’ fourth consecutive Top 15 Opponent. That’s what should have been considered. Instead, a team that Texas beat fooled a bunch of voters because they ran up the score for five consecutive weeks! I’m hoping that Jokelahoma gets their just desserts against Florida.
Ha! Living in the past, huh?
I really don’t care about all this college football stuff very much. We’re in fly-over land and anything that puts the name of the State into the news in a positive way is OK with me.
A team that CAN run up the score just might be better than a team that CANNOT run up the score.
Besides, I watched the OU-OSU game and OU definitely did not run up the score intentionally, They tried to run out the clock by keeping it on the ground, and WHAM, suddenly there’s another touchdown.
If that’s an indication of how OU finished out its other 60+ point games, then they did not intentionally run up the scores. I can’t say that for certain because I didn’t watch the other games.
One thing’s for certain, though - OU is the hottest team in the BCS at the moment. And that sells ad time, which is the real reason for all this stuff. Ad time.
It will be an interesting bowl season - I do expect Texas to beat OSU by at least 3 touchdowns.
Yeah, that's got to be few and far between.
Sorry couldn't resist...
Yeah, but more than Iowa.
;-)
