A team that CAN run up the score just might be better than a team that CANNOT run up the score.

Besides, I watched the OU-OSU game and OU definitely did not run up the score intentionally, They tried to run out the clock by keeping it on the ground, and WHAM, suddenly there’s another touchdown.

If that’s an indication of how OU finished out its other 60+ point games, then they did not intentionally run up the scores. I can’t say that for certain because I didn’t watch the other games.

One thing’s for certain, though - OU is the hottest team in the BCS at the moment. And that sells ad time, which is the real reason for all this stuff. Ad time.

OU may be the “hottest”, but they're not the best in their own division! And when you leave your starters in a blowout game well into the fourth quarter, you are running up the score, something the media loves to complain about regularly, but they seem to have a tendency not to penalize when they're doing their polls.
