The chilling revelations of a recent television documentary1 expose the disturbing consequences of evolutionary ways of thinking. Beginning in the 1920s, many thousands of people in the United States were sterilised against their will and without their consent, to prevent undesirable breeding. Over 8,000 of these procedures took place at a major centre to which such undesirables were sent, in Lynchburg, Virginia.

While the horrors of Germanys Nazi past are well known, it is a well-kept secret that similar programs were also prevalent in some Allied countries. The award-winning investigative journalist Edwin Black has documented Americas huge selective breeding and forced sterilization program in his book War Against the Weak: Eugenics and Americas Campaign to Create a Master Race.1

On May 2, 2002, Mark Warner of Virginia became the first governor to publicly apologize to the many thousands of people who were sterilized against their will during the eugenics movement in the United States. Through 1979, about 8,000 people in Virginia were prevented from being able to have children because they were considered to be unfit. [Ed. note: see Lies of Lynchburg for more information.]

ping!
The evolosers are gonna come unglued.
No. Just laugh. You people get sillier and sillier.
That’s like saying Louis Pastuer’s work inspired Dr. Mengele.
Anti-intellectualism at its worst.
Recounting the involuntary sterilization of undesirables in a free and democratic society causes knee slapping merriment where you live?
Nice little liberal trick you picked up there.
Its becoming increasingly clear that creationists have no science to back up their positions, and have to resort to character assassination in their fruitless battle against the theory of evolution.
What a joke!
No. What causes knee slappnig merriment where I live is the “cretative” extent to which anti-evolutionists will go in an effort to inflate their flawed views of the Bible and science.
What a maroon, no better than a retarded democrat.
Yep!
So far, the only thing they can manage to do is whine and complain!
Creation Science is obviously the nonproductive branch of science, as well as the non-experiment doing branch of science. Oh wait, they are also the non-science branch of science.
Why are you bringing up Creation Science?
This thread is about Evolutions ties to eugenics and the Nazis.
Try to get with the program.
The only source offered as proof is:
The Lynchburg Story, produced by Bruce Eadie, made by Worldview Pictures in association with Discovery Networks and Channel Four, 1993. This story is based on information contained therein.
When I do an ask.com search for "Worldview Pictures," I get nothing. Well, unless ya'll are really referring to this.
Doing a search for "Discovery Networks and Channel Four" on ask.com only leads to the Discovery Channel (the legitimate tv channel) and a link to the University of Vermont's record of having a copy of this documentary, and, of course, a link back to the article about the documentary.
There's nothing at youtube about a "Lies in Lynchburg."
You don't even have a copy of this 15 year-old documentary to link to so that people can judge its merits. And that's the only source? No historical articles? Nothing?
If you go to a library and look at encyclopedias from the late 1920’s and early 1930’s you might not be so sure. Under the topic “Eugenics” there are sometimes references to Darwinists (not Darwin himself) that are in support of helping evolution by removing undesirables and preventing their births. It might not have been directly connected to the nazis. It might have just been a general world view at the time.
These guys are getting desperate. They’ve been predicting the end of the evolution science for 150 years. The fact that the evidence from biology, paleontology, physics, geology, chemistry and a host of other disciplines just keeps piling up in embarrasingly large piles must be sending them over the edge.
The ToE is now just about unassailable. It would take a stunning piece of hard evidence to even begin to knock it off it’s pedestal and, let’s face it, hard evidence is something the creationists are right out of.
When I look at this logo for the Discovery Channel (the legitimate tv channel), titled Discovery Networks International, I'd suspect that your buds are guilty of trademark infringement. I'm emailing the legitimate Discovery right now so they can look into whether they should sue your friends.
Have a nice night. ;)
