No, you’re not odd. I think ‘your favorite things’ should be displayed. I changed my display for that reason and it was easier for me to care for. Thank goodness, I did it.
Your display sounds so fun and interesting, yorkie!

Rus, Thank you for ODB this morning.
I've been reading about the antiques .... that sounds like a fun career.
I am fascinated by antiques ... though I don't have many.
A great grandmother's rolling pin and a Singer sewing machine, plus some glassware.
Have a Fantastic Friday and a Wonderful Weekend.

Well, if that doesn’t impress your son, nothing will. She sounds like a smart little thing! Yummmmm~~~

Good morning, you two.
Be extra careful when climbing to clean. When my Mom was in her early 80’s she climbed atop the counter top to clean the top shelves. She fell and broke her wrist when she tried to catch herself. She was lucky it was only her wrist.
My son changes filters, lights etc when he visits on the weekend. Otherwise, we don’t replace light bulbs unless we are really in the dark. LOL

The Wild Swans at Coole
THE TREES are in their autumn beauty,
The woodland paths are dry,
Under the October twilight the water
Mirrors a still sky;
Upon the brimming water among the stones
Are nine and fifty swans.
The nineteenth Autumn has come upon me
Since I first made my count;
I saw, before I had well finished,
All suddenly mount
And scatter wheeling in great broken rings
Upon their clamorous wings.
I have looked upon those brilliant creatures,
And now my heart is sore.
Alls changed since I, hearing at twilight,
The first time on this shore,
The bell-beat of their wings above my head,
Trod with a lighter tread.
Unwearied still, lover by lover,
They paddle in the cold,
Companionable streams or climb the air;
Their hearts have not grown old;
Passion or conquest, wander where they will,
Attend upon them still.
But now they drift on the still water
Mysterious, beautiful;
Among what rushes will they build,
By what lakes edge or pool
Delight mens eyes, when I awake some day
To find they have flown away?

All You who Sleep Tonight |

All you who sleep tonight Far from the ones you love, No hand to left or right And emptiness above -
Know that you aren't alone The whole world shares your tears, Some for two nights or one, And some for all their years.

Hmmmm .... let me clean my glasses. Nope ... didn’t help, you still look foggy.
Good morning, Diver. That is you, isn’t it?
I’ve having Marissa’s party at John’s Incredible Pizza tomorrow afternoon. Should be 12 or 14 of us. We probably won’t do anything Sunday (her birthday) except maybe a cake and ice cream here with just the four of us.
Boy ... they grow up fast. Tell Logan Happy Birthday from Marissa and me.

OUT-WORN heart, in a time out-worn, Come clear of the nets of wrong and right; Laugh, heart, again in the grey twilight, Sigh, heart, again in the dew of the morn. Your mother Eire is aways young, Dew ever shining and twilight grey; Though hope fall from you and love decay, Burning in fires of a slanderous tongue. Come, heart, where hill is heaped upon hill: For there the mystical brotherhood Of sun and moon and hollow and wood And river and stream work out their will; And God stands winding His lonely horn, And time and the world are ever in flight; And love is less kind than the grey twilight, And hope is less dear than the dew of the morn.

Good Morning To Amy's Place
Red Eden
I'm Wearing Red On Friday To Support Our Troops
Love the graphic, Billie!
It's a bright chilly 44 degrees here and only the birds and critters will get me
outdoors. I have an extremely safe tall step stool..and that is what I am sticking
to, Amy. I realized when I was standing up there on the counter..that I should not
be doing it. It's so easy to step back and fall.
