I am taking echinacea like it's going out of style. I "feel" a cold coming on but, so far, I have held it off. Don't know if it is the echinacea or not, but it can't hurt. In 2005 when I finished taking chemo and radiation, I started taking Noxylane4 and Beta Glucan for my immune system. The Noxylane4 is kind of expensive so I had to quit taking it when I got laid off in aught-seven but I'm still taking the Beta Glucan and I don't think Ive had a cold in years.

So very cute, Luv!
I’m gonna lay back in my chair a bit to see if my back eases up. I just got the peanut butter fudge made that I have been going to make since Saturday.....already did the chocolate fudge. I tried to beat the calories out of it...LOL~~~

The traveler told me, That He had walked far. And He knew, He had not much father to go,
Than He asked me,
Did I see the Christmas tree,
With a bright star, covered in blankets of snow,
Fighting for life, against nature and man's war. Needing to find peace for the soul,
Touched by a angel's tear. Standing alone out in the cold.
Once there was a little Christmas tree, Adorned with a heavenly star, Covered with soft blankets of snow, every year, The little tree would grow.
Sometime someone would come along. Leaving footprints in the falling snow, When they are far from home, Somewhere out in the cold.
They could see the star on the tree, Covered with soft blankets of snow. The little Christmas tree seems to glow. Decorated By God's hand. A gift for every man. A soft light, in the dark night, Offering peace for the soul.
See God's Christmas tree, Adorned with a heavenly star, A reminder of love, A star from above, For the world to see. God's Christmas tree.
He didn't choose the tallest. tree in the forest. He saw that little tree stand alone. A place where the soul can rest, While the traveler walks home. Did you see? God's Christmas tree.

I looked and looked for the perfect poem for that picture, but there was nothing that seemed to fit. I didnt have nicknamedbobs phone number, or I would have had him put one together for me. That picture needs its own story.
Hello There!
Hello there, Christmas Present!
You rode with me last year!
Its nice to see youve settled in,
Ill bet you like it here!
They like you too, I see it,
Look how youre dressed today!
Im sure youd be the prettiest,
Doll on my marvelous sleigh!
But I wont take you away from here,
Youre right where you need to be,
Still, I feel really grateful,
For the present your mom gave me.
To see that youre having a good time,
And growing up really fine,
Is quite the reward for this old man,
Sweet kids are a hobby of mine.
Now tell me what else I can do for you,
Something youll need next year,
Just climb right up into Santas lap,
And whisper some words in my ear.
Ill understand what you are saying,
Though your mom may not get it, quite.
Your little whisper will be acted upon,
And youll both sleep with smiles in the night.

Thanks for the kind words, truly most appreciated!
The lay-off was not timed with an eye towards kindness, just a bottom line, and she is not to be called back, so its a hunt for a new job. (Its damn hard to find decent jobs here, I know, because I was laid off in the industrial purge in 2001 and can’t get a mechanical job since. (Most of the engineering companies are gone now, a lot of low-paying ‘service’ jobs took their place. Even clerical jobs are now going to the younger (cheaper) set as well.) It also doesn’t help if your 62! They say they can’t hire you because your OVERQUALIFIED, and that’s that! I’m trying to make it as a writer, but marketing my books is difficult, as I really don’t know the right way to do it and don’t have the money anyway. I’ve been writing for several years now (39 books on lulu.com) but getting them out there takes ISBN numbers and promoting! This may all be moot anyway, as we’re likely to be getting the old Heave Ho from the apartment soon, so we will be ‘mobile’ in more then just our ability to get around. I gotta tell you, this has not been a good year. We will buckle down and forge on though, trust in God and see what we can make of next year. If God brings you to IT, He’ll bring you THROUGH it!
I’ll stop by when I can and see if I can torment you all with my bad jokes and poetry, if only to help you appreciate the good stuff! ;^)
