Hi There! In return!
Yea! More music tomorrow!
Don’t ya just want to cuddle her? So fluffy!
(((hugs)))...good to see you!
Cute W F graphics and the cookies pic find & T Y for the pic pings af Marissa and Friends also!!!
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts..Scooters wasn’t mine but I have spent a lot of time with her when I spent several years with my daughter and her husband..She loved for me to groom her..She came with my daughter on visits here because she was diabetic and my daughter had to give her insulin..
Scoots was looking so good so it shocked everyone.
.
Scoots was born in my daughter’s attic when Purty cleverly picked it as the place to have her kittens and find help...Years later I talked my daughter into allowing me to have Purty and bring her home with me... Purty’s death almost broke my heart..and theirs. I will always have a kitty come along to love because my daughter is a rescuer...and the sick, abandoned and starved kitties find their way to her door. I now have 3 more of her rescues.
My daughter is grieving hard. Scoots has been there to comfort through so much of my daughter’s chronic pain and illnesses.
She and son in law are planning to be here for Christmas..I pray she is well enough do it..
I’m surprised You remember the one...it took me soooo long to reply!
Very good to *see* You too!
:)
ooops here are some of these...HUGS!!!
It’s always so hard to lose a beloved furry companion...but
I think it will do her good to visit some of her “rescues”
at Mom’s house. It will heal her aching heart like nothing
else could!
She will be bringing her 6 remaining rescues..They are acting upset over Scoots absence..and my SIL is renting a van rather than leaving them alone at home.
It will do her good to see mine, too..I really confiscated(stole) the youngest kitten while she was here during the Ike power outage..The two kittens entertain each other so there is method to my wanting both kittens..
Oh, I don’t forget that little kitty that easily!
Or...good friends! (((hugs)))
You were smart to get the one a companion! LOL!
You will have a house full of fuzzy “grandkitties”! :D
Aw Meg, I am so sorry - no matter how old they are we hate to have them leave us. !9 is a good, long life for a cat — Cali was 19 when she died Aug 07
She is the grandma of you current group?
In the 1960s, the Kingston Trio released a song called Desert Pete. The ballad tells of a thirsty cowboy who is crossing the desert and finds a hand pump. Next to it, Desert Pete has left a note urging the reader not to drink from the jar hidden there but to use its contents to prime the pump.
The cowboy resists the temptation to drink and uses the water as the note instructs. In reward for his obedience, he receives an abundance of cold, satisfying water. Had he not acted in faith, he would have had only a jar of unsatisfying, warm water to drink.
This reminds me of Israels journey through the wilderness. When their thirst became overwhelming (Ex. 17:1-7), Moses sought the Lord. He was told to strike the rock of Horeb with his staff. Moses believed and obeyed, and water gushed from the stone.
Sadly, Israel would not consistently follow Moses example of faith. Ultimately, the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith (Heb. 4:2).
Sometimes life can seem like an arid desert. But God can quench our spiritual thirst in the most unlikely circumstances. When by faith we believe the promises of Gods Word, we can experience rivers of living water and grace for our daily needs.
So very sorry!

Old friends, pawed ambassadors of love
fuzzy friends beyond degrees in therapy
give us what we need it seemed so easily
still gifts us unexpectedly as if from above
To You, Their Daydreams
In the golden halls of memories I stroll
oft amazed at the things I’ve stored there
Some tossed in a corner, other set with care
some interesting, others I find oddly droll
A picture of a barmaid in a skimpy costume
somewhere in Nevada I think it was, in ‘62
An Irish valley sparkling in dawn’s soft dew
and over there, a dark wood lined bar room
Behind locked doors, images and scents of war
things best forgot, but never far enough away
Things I find I bring out some careless day
then I lock those scenes away behind the door
Old pets who truly honored me and loved me well
gave me all they had and asked but love of me
Old friends gone now in time’s unending flow I see
their smiles hold a thousand words unspoke, yet tell
Fair eyes and gentle smiles, each a gift to me
from you who hold my heart in happy union still
My heart is full, for love and hope does it fill
and I remember the times hard in Fate’s lee
I must get on with the duties of this day
the same old things I do to make it all it may be
And yet I keep the key to memories held here in me
to wander the halls of my life again I say
Meg, I am so sorry your daughter lost her sweet Scooters.
It is so hard losing our Fur Babies..they are truly part of us.
Hugs and Prayers,
Polly
