What lovely young ladies! It won't be long before they they are out the door to college. Cherish them. What memories they and you will have. Thank you for sharing their Tea Party with us! Marissa looks born to wear hats and drink tea out of fine bone china.
Bought back memories of my first High Tea in Pasadena Ca, with my Camp Fire Group in August, I won't say what year...

Good evening, Tajgirvan.

The tea in DC was much more elegant than the one we attended on Sunday. Marissa thought tea at the Ritz Carlton and lunch at The Melting Pot in DC were the greatest experiences in the world. :)

Good evening. So would I.

Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

This is My first Christmas away from California ever. I am so homesick for my Mom, my boys, my foothills and the ocean. I have my beloved husband and my girls. Georgia is Beautiful but I miss my friends, the low humidity and the fact that there are hardly any BUGS!

Meg, I think our time difference is one hour....you and I posted almost together. I know I shouldn’t go out in the rain but its supposed to rain all week. The main thing is going from the car to the stores I have to go in and maybe I can handle it with an umbrella. Looks so dreary outside today. I don’t know if I can make it warm and fuzzy or not~~LOL~~! I sure don’t want to have a set-back!

Love your Santa this morning.

Christmas poem? I didn’t say anything about Christmas.

What made you think it was about Christmas?

Discovery
God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. —1 Corinthians 2:10

Imagine Christmas morning without wrapping paper! The joy would be short-lived, for much of the excitement is the anticipation of finding out what’s in the package.

Apparently God created us with a “normal” setting that causes us to enjoy the process of discovery, because finding something is often more exciting than having it. That is, after all, why we wrap presents.

Many passages in Scripture allude to this concept. In Proverbs we read of wisdom: “Those who seek me diligently will find me” (8:17). And the prophet Jeremiah wrote of the Lord: “You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (29:13).

God could have revealed all truth to all people at the very beginning of time, but He chose to reveal Himself gradually (1 Cor. 2:7-8). Perhaps that’s because we value things more when we have to search and wait for them.

God is not playing a cruel game of hide-and-seek. He is allowing us to enjoy the process of discovering who He is and what He is up to in the universe.

So don’t be discouraged over what you don’t know about God. Be excited about unwrapping all there is yet to discover.

More about Jesus let me learn,
More of His holy will discern;
Spirit of God, my teacher be,
Showing the things of Christ to me. —Hewitt

God’s gift of Himself to us is a present we will always be unwrapping.

Hello and Merry Christmas to all!

I’ve got to START Christmas shopping—this am—if I ever get hubby out of bed!
No hurry—it’s foggy as all get out this am.

Been loving the graphics and pings. Y’all do a great job! :)

I did get a little Christmas stuff done! LOL Sewed all day Sunday. Made 4 pairs of flannel pj bottoms for gifts, and a quick blanket for the gbaby, and a touchy-feely toy for a friend of ours baby. I had the most fun doing that! I used different scraps of material for texture/color contrast to make about a foot square pillow. I looped different colors/sizes/textures of ribbon around the outside edges, put a bell—in a film canister/lid is glued on—in the middle and sewed around it so it won’t move, then stuffed the remainder with WalMart bags for noise. If he gets half the enjoyment out of it that I did, it will be well worth the effort! Theoretically, the whole thing is washable. We’ll see.

Merry Christmas to all my FRiends at Amy’s Place!

The Lost Mitten
~ Unknown ~

My poor little kitten lost her mitten
And started to cry, boo-hoo.
So I helped my kitten look for her mitten,
Before her paw turned blue.
