Falls (PA) woman stars in UFO documentary

Denise Lynch Murter’s story began last April when her Yorkie named Alex began growling and awoke her from a deep sleep. “I thought it was an intruder at first,” she said. “I went outside and saw it. It was shaped like a boomerang and had three lights like the headlamps of a car up in the sky.” Murter believes she saw a UFO outside her Falls home. And so does the Discovery Channel. On Monday night the cable channel aired its special “UFOs over Earth” and Murter along with her daughter and husband, Dan, tuned in. The topic wasn’t the only draw for the Murter family, Denise’s story was featured on the hour-long show.

Thanks for the ping Las Vegas Dave. That’s down the street from me,a few miles. It is not to far from where they filmed Signs with Mel.What is strange is a few doors down from us something came through a roof of a house. They said it was ice. That was a few years ago.

All due respect Denise Murter and the folks in Bucks Co.(which isn’t too far from where I live) but I think this is silly. I mean, if these things do exsist, why don’t they land on the White House lawn in broad daylight? Why is they seem to appear to just average folks? And why travel all that way? A single ‘’light year’’, the distance light travels in one year in a vacuum, is six trillion miles. The nearest star to us, besides our own Sun, at a scant 93 million miles is some 9 light years away. Do the math, thats 54 trillion millions one way. I don’t know about anyone else but I’d just send a fax.

" The leaves also had very high levels of boron and magnesium, but none were found in the soil or in the tree a block away..."

Interesting.

Longtom about a year ago I was driving on 1-95 and got off at the bypass for Newtown etc.On that road towards the city of Philly in the sky was a plane or something that did not fly in a strait line.It was just at sunset and I just put it in the back on my mind.I don’t like this stuff happening so close and I really don’t know what people are seeing.I just know a few doors down stuff came through the roof of the house. If I look out the back door I can see the house.Hope things settle down.

You may be thinking of the round trip. The nearest star other than Sol is Proxima Centari at 4.2421 Light years or closer to 25,000,000,000,000 (25 trillion) miles one way.

My quess is the ‘’object’’ was ice from a plane. There are a few private airports out that way, could have fallen from a small plane. What you may have seen at sunset was the reflection of a satellite, seriously. There are loads of them orbiting Earth and they sometimes catch the Suns reflection. What season of the year was this when you saw this? Just curious.

Thunderbirds are crafty creatures. They manage to exist without being detected, they are unphotographable, and they leave no bones behind when they die.

Are you certain of that? Teratorns are well known.

Generic avian wing diagram shows the position
of the humerus, marked "hum"

Partial Teratorn humerus is 14 inches in length and is from
a Teratorn with a wingspan of 15-16 feet, 50% larger than
the modern Turkey Vulture. Rule is 15 cm (~5.9")

The Argentavis Magnificens is a Teratorn whose humerus bones, found on the plains of Argentina, have been measured up to 22" in length. That length of a humerus belongs to a bird with a 24-25 foot wingspan and flight feathers as long as five feet. Using the cube-square law, that translates to a bird weighing in at 170 lbs... that still could fly.

Dr. Kenneth E. Campbell, (one of the discoverers) in front of
the 25 ft. wingspan Argentavis Magnificens (life size model).
Display seen at the Natural History Museum, Los Angeles.

Thanks for the correction. Proxima Centari is exactly the cluster I was refering to. Wasn’t entirely sure of the name but you’re correct. The source I have puts it a 9 light years.

Unfortunately, they've been extinct since the beginning of the Pleistocene epoch.

Here's the problem with cryptozoology :

If some ancient organism (like a dinosaur) has survived, it can't be just one. It has to be a population of them. So that means not just one Nessie in Loch Ness. That means a bunch of them. A bunch of massive birds / pleisaurs / dragons / bigfeet can't remain undetected. One might be able to. But not a population of them.

The only ancient organisms you're going to find are going to be in places where humans aren't, like the bottom of the ocean. They're not trotting around the backwoods of Washington state.

I spent my whole childhood reading books about this stuff. Space monsters included. It all boiled down to a bunch of hoaxes.

Longtom,I heard a low flying plane right before midnight and awoke up to neighbors with holes in the roof. They said it was ice.I saw something at sunset as I drove the bypass cause the sky is clear without trees to the left.It was Summer or Fall and it's not important I just mentioned it.To sum this up I saw something,my neighbor had ice through the roof and up the road they say they saw things.:)

There are loads of them orbiting Earth and they sometimes catch the Suns reflection.

All satellites reflect sunlight, when not inside the earths shadow. Without the sunlight, we would not be able to see any satellites. Any reflection from sunlight off a satellite at sunset would be extremely small, pin point or star point like, and mostly washed from the light of the sunset.

I would think confusing a satellite with a UFO would be unlikely. In addition, the observer stated the object did not seem to fly in a straight line. Satellites orbit in what appears to be relatively straight lines, and can appear as aircraft to those not familiar with satellites.

I have never observed a satellite making turns or not moving in what appears to be a relatively straight line.
