Vanity: Ask a liberal! (Do Viking Kitties wear boxers or briefs?)
VANITY: A liberal's mind (yea, that's an oxymoron)

Posted on 11/05/2008 10:57:21 AM PST by codejack

Hi there! I'm a liberal, and I want to help you guys out. The fact is that neither side was particularly well represented this year, and in the interest of improving the level of conversation between liberals and conservatives, I thought I would offer to answer some questions and give some advice.

Read the rest before you ask, please, and if I say something that sounds sarcastic, it probably is, but I mean no offense.

Raila Odinga
Rashid Khalidi
Bill Ayers (terrorist)
Bernadine Dohrn (terrorist)
Louis Farrakhan (Nation of Islam)
Ali Abunimah
Jesse Jackson
Frank Marshall Davis
Dr. Khalid al-Mansour (Saudi billionaire who mentored the founding members of the Black Panthers)
Wade Rathke; ACORN founder and former member of SDS (just like Ayers)
Rev. Jeremiah Wright
Rev. Michael Pfleger

So who do you think Obama is? Where are his normal friends?

If we do not judge a man who hangs around with the KKK by the company he keeps then on what do we judge him? His josh darned word that he’s a really cool guy?

PS If the media had done their work, instead of cheerleading, McCain might not have to draw attention to Obamas negatives. That should be the presses job (which they took with enthusiasm when it concerned Gov Palin)

Atlas is shrugging and the slackers are not going to get one thing they mistakenly think they deserve!

No, they will get exactly what they deserve. Just not what they feel entitled to.

Do you believe in the simplistic notion that people who have wealth are entitled to keep it?

Is it that hard to imagine two people with different opinions having a good-natured discussion? I’m trying to open a dialogue about why things are going wrong, for both sides, and this is the best question you can ask?

No, it's not hard to imagine at all. But you wrote: ...every Sunday...That's why I want to know: Why do you lie? Can't you opine on a conservative website without employing exaggeration and hyperbole? Those are forms of lies, you know.

So again: Why do you lie?

“John McCain’s speech last night was wonderful. I think that if he had held that tone throughout the campaign, he would have won last night. I disagree with him on so many things, yet I still respect him and believe that he is a patriot. This from someone who is disappointed because Obama is too conservative for my taste.”

So I am highlighting your words. What EXACTY was it about McCain’s speech last night that makes you FEEL like he would have won.... and don’t give me the standard bullcrap that he was too negative and that turned people against him, b/c that is simply not the case.

2ndly, spell out EXACTLY HOW you think Obama is too conservative for YOUR taste as you put it.... don’t give me the typical liberal mantra of open-ended questions that seem to go in circles like a dog chasing its own tail.....

So, let's leave the 9/11 conspiracies and the guilt-by-association (Ayers, Wright, Liddy, etc) stuff alone, and talk about important things.

Nice try, but a person who associates himself with terrorists and virulent racists doesn't get to simply gloss over those associations when it becomes inconvenient.

The double-standard is appalling- what do you think the media would have done to a Republican candidate who hung out with an abortion-clinic bomber and went to a white-supremacist church for 20 years?

Obama is too conservative for my taste.....real questions, please....

Ok, I'm game.

Question #1 How old are you?

Question #2 Are you currently dependent on someone or some government agency for your financial support or do you totally support yourself/family?

Question #3 What specific political positions is Obama too conservative for your tastes.

Question #4 Do you agree with Obama's socialistic precept that your wealth needs to be spread around to make everyone more equal, regardless of your personal risk or effort expended to acquire said "wealth"?

most of us didn’t vote FOR Obama, we voted AGAINST McCain, by which most us mean Bush.

>

Are you kidding me? By voting for Obama, you just voted for Bush. Now there is NO ONE that’s going to cut the pork, NO ONE that’s going to keep Barney Frank and Chris Dodd from stuffing their pockets full of lobbyist and tax payer money. NO ONE that is going to stop the drunken tax and spend liberals.
When you voted for Obama, you voted for Bush.

I love how that is always repeated, Eisenhower didn’t support the 92% tax rate, the top marginal tax rate happened to be 92% under his administration as a carry forward from the increase under Truman during WWII. Congress never presented him a bill to lower it... at that, that top marginal tax rate, started by Truman, wasn’t lowered until Kennedy who dropped it to 70%.. that rate stayed until Reagan who dropped it to about 30%. You looking for the socialist with that tax rate, look to Harry Truman.

This may come as a shock, but President’s don’t write tax bills (which is another reason why not to trust Obama as he’s never written a bill to cut taxes likes he promises), those originate in Congress.

"At the same time, I think the best way to get people off of welfare is to educate them so that they can get better jobs. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

Ha! Ha! Now that is a funny joke! I used to work for the State of Ohio Human Services Dept. It wasn't lack of education that kept the welfare rolls full. It was getting paid more money for every baby you squirted out.

I agree. What do you propose we do with the young people who either refuse to go to school or if they do go to school, it's to disrupt it. Our business started in the inner city & there were usually lot of school aged children playing outside during school days & hours. Freshman classes are about 4 times as large as Senior classes in Milwaukee, showing clearly the drop out rate.

BTW- you say we shouldn’t judge him by his ‘associations’.. when have you ever applied for a job and not given references to your character.. these are the folks Obama has worked with.. Can you give us folks who can give him professional references who aren’t controversial? Odinga? Nope... Farrakhan? Nope... Ayers? Nope.. Dohrn? Nope.. Almost Everyone he is connected to politically is cut of the same mold. That says a LOT about the content of his character.
