Is it that hard to imagine two people with different opinions having a good-natured discussion? I’m trying to open a dialogue about why things are going wrong, for both sides, and this is the best question you can ask?

No, it's not hard to imagine at all. But you wrote: ...every Sunday...That's why I want to know: Why do you lie? Can't you opine on a conservative website without employing exaggeration and hyperbole? Those are forms of lies, you know.

So again: Why do you lie?

You mean that it is implausible for the wife and I to take the kids across town to their grandparents house once a week? Her Dad and I sit on the porch, smoke cigarettes, play guitar and talk politics while the kids play. If you find that impossible to believe, then I pity you.
