WHEN DARK CRIES OUT FOR LIGHT
The hope of Heaven has come to me at midnight
Sleep is gone yet lingers in it's eternity
Dark and shadows and even night its self
Is formed of light
The answer is light
Without it there is no creation, no creature
No sound, no breath
And no imagination would escape the empty void
Of its absence
Only light, in its non material swiftness
Is the key to Heaven and life eternal
And I believe, the substance of the Living God
When he said, "Let there be light"
He had you and I in mind
If you need evidence for faith
Let it be light.

Beautiful, yorkie..
I want to know if anyone has made or eaten Mincemeat Pie..My Mother made it when I was young but I don’t recall her making it after the 50s..I remember liking it..but have never made it.

Regarding minced meat pie - I used to make it every Thanksgiving - but should have made it at least every couple months. It is wonderful hot or cold, and gives the taste buds a sweet, spicy bite. (I use the jars of prepared minced meat..... I used to use the dehydrated kind, that came in a little box.)
I usually add extra raisins and finely chopped apples - makes the pie go farther.
Last year, it was about $6.00 a jar (making a very skimpy 8” pie.) This year it will probably cost $10/jar - and will be totally out of the question - and off the menu.
I think I still have Grandma’s recipe to make it from scratch, if anyone is interested, I’ll look it up.

My mother used the kind in a box..I remember..I think she added raisins and perhaps apple..I really don’t recall..I have no idea why we stopped having them..maybe the grandchildren did not like them..but I have a yen for a mincemeat pie..I wouldn’t make it from scratch so please don’t go look for the recipe for me..
Wow..It does seem pricey!
