Bonfire of our Souls

My breath is ragged, surging in and out in time with my racing heart,
our bodies slick with hard-earned sweat, trying to chill the heat we share.
Spasms rack us, trying to take us further along the path from our start,
wrung out, wiped out, our passions sated by this raging love so rare.

Her heat is like a bonfire that smolders against me, reminding me,
her sweet shuddering draws my arms around her tighter, answering need,
With little urging, her fire will rise and consume me yet again you see,
and I will burn with delight, with her, in the bonfire of our love freed.

I ache for her, reach for her, and she reaches for me, and we burn,
drawn together, fuel for the fire of our souls, ignited by love’s heat.
We surrender willingly to the consumption of our energy in turn,
slowly building, until we erupt together so wondrously sweet.

Silent Soak in Renewal

She quietly floated in a tub of hot water,
sheathed in bubbles and a scent like lilacs.
Tensions flowed out, as the hot water flowed in,
leaving her as calm as a still pool, and just as deep.

In silences of the mind, she watched flickers of the candles,
dancing across the walls and ceiling, like fairy dancers in a glen.
The music soft, the deep soulful voice of Barry White flowed on,
taking her ever deeper into the moment within her mind.

Inward did she journey, until she reached that special center,
and she softly rebounded outward, back to the world again.
Peace, contentment, pleasure radiated to every part of her,
filling her, until she glowed with soul light, a beacon to her heart.

Somewhere in the music, the moment, the warmth,
she found herself, a true friend, and was renewed.
So precious the time spent, a treasure she’d visit another day,
wash away the world from her life long enough for a new season.

I have only had laptops...I like them because they are all
one piece instead of having a tower here, an monitor over there
and the keyboard scooting all over the desk! Not to mention the mouse waaaay over there making my shoulder hurt after a while! LOL

I have a 15.4” screen one that I use most of the time, and
just bought a used 12” screen one to travel with because it
has a removable CD/DVD dock that makes it lightweight enough
to put in my handbag.

Good luck on your quest. I think you’ll be glad you got one!
