A day late, but since I wasn't here yesterday to thank you, Meg, for the beauty you bring, and the gracious way you always open the door on Sundays and make everyone feel welcome, I wanted to say it today. :)
Your Sunday opening was just beautiful. Thank you, too, for including the National Anthem sung by Taylor Hicks. It's as pretty and pitch-perfect as any I've ever heard singing it.
Perky, also wanted to welcome you to Amy's Place - hope we'll be seeing you here regularly - let us know if you'd like to be added to the opening ping list. :)
OESY, you are still in our thoughts and prayers, and I hope you know that you are missed.

Hi, Mayor.
Seems that I answered yesterday’s ODB rather than today’s. Both have great reminder messages. Thank you.
Have a Blessed Week.

GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
The Soldiers Code
1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.

LOL I used to quilt. Used to crochet. Used to do crosstitch/embroidery. Used to make a lot of my/my kid’s clothes. Used to. :)
I have the butterfly quilt I made my gma. She had it with her in the hosp when she died. It’s in the bottom of my cedar chest. Gma’s been gone about 20 years. Still can’t get the quilt out.

Mornin’ yorkie!
Great pic! I introduced my 20 month old gson to bees yest. He went back inside and dragged his gpa and g-gma outside to see. He kept saying—bee—bite! I told him to jsut look and not touch—he had a ball!
To: JustAmy
Mornin’! Hope you’re having a great one, too!
Loved your opening posts yest and today, as always! Didn’t get on much yest, only enough to check pings. Had to go get groceries and eat at the inlaws and kept the gbaby yest aft/eve. :)
Isn’t it funny that I get on more when I’m at “work” than I do when I’m home! LOL
