I need help and advice for a celebrity chef ping list
Myself | 08/13/08 | Myself

I need advice in establishing a Celebrity chef or television chef ping list.

There is an existing food ping list though I'm not sure how active it is. This would not be a place for the exchange of recipes though if that were to happen I wouldn't have an issue with it.

The main purpose would be the diversion from more serious matters to discuss television food personalities and news of interest to "foodies": Rachel Ray, Anthony Bourdain, Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, Jacques Pépin, Paula Deen and so on.

12 Foods You Don’t Have to Buy Organic

The Environmental Working Group, a nonprofit organization that advocates for policies that protect global and individual health, produces the Shoppers’ Guide to Pesticides in Produce. It is based on the results of nearly 43,000 pesticide tests.

Organic fruits and vegetables are by definition grown without the use of pesticides. But some find the expense of organic foods prohibitive.

Of the 43 different fruit and vegetable categories in the Guide to Pesticides, the following twelve foods had the lowest pesticide load when conventionally grown. Consequently, they are the safest conventionally grown crops to consume:

* Broccoli
* Eggplant
* Cabbage
* Banana
* Kiwi
* Asparagus
* Sweet peas (frozen)
* Mango
* Pineapple
* Sweet corn (frozen)
* Avocado
* Onion

Talking of difference with cooking terms we do not say mac and cheese but we call the dish Macaroni Cheese which I presume is very similar if not the same dish.

We also use macaroni for sweet dish as well made with milk and sugar and baked in the oven you can cook first on the oven top and then bake if you wish or cook all the time in a pressure cooker on top.

I definitely second Gordon Ramsey on British TV the language on that program is dreadful but I suppose it is after the 9.00pm watershed so they can get away with it.

snugs I will happily add you to the list!

I do include Gordan Ramsay on my list of Celebrity Chefs who I keep a news eye on. Are there any other celebrity chefs that interest you that might be known outside of the UK? If so I would be happy to include news of them in my searches.

Yours,
A. Webb

I love the American tradition of pancakes for breakfast not that I would ever have time to serve pancakes for breakfast so I have to continue with the British one of serving them either at teatime if that every exists now or after my main meal as a dessert.

I presume it acts/tastes similar to buttermilk as I know that in some recipes you can use either
