Savor The Flavor
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28
America has often been called a melting pot. But obviously that is not the case. Politicians tend to fuel sensitivity to class and color divisions for their own gain. Gender tensions abound. Generational differences are more marked than ever. In fact, cultural observers are starting to say that the melting pot metaphor is outdatedthat the goal should be a cultural stew in which the distinct taste of each ingredient is enhanced by the contribution of the other ingredients.
In a world where pride and prejudice abound, Jesus offers us the joy of unity across all the lines that so easily divide us. In His church, the unique flavors of our diverse backgrounds can complement each other, united through faith in Christ Jesus (Gal. 3:26) and empowered by His Spirit and our submission to His principles. In Him our diversity doesnt divide but rather unites and enriches us as we recognize that we all have Jesus, His Word, and His ways in common. As we embrace Him together, our differences become secondary and our mutual love for Him drives us to love each other as He has loved us.
Jesus is the master mixer! In His kingdom, pride and prejudice are out, and love and mutual acceptance are the order of the day.
Within the church of Jesus Christ
The joys of unity abound
When love accepts diversity
And prejudice cannot be found. Sper

Why God Made Little Boys
God made a world out of His dreams,
of wondrous mountains, oceans and streams.
Prairies and plains and wooded land,
then paused and thought, I need someone to stand
on top of the mountains, to conquer the seas,
explore the plains and climb the trees.
Someone to start out small and grow,
sturdy, strong like a tree and so...
He created boys, full of spirit and fun,
to explore and conquer, to romp and run.
With dirty faces, banged up chins,
with courageous hearts and boyish grins.
When he had completed the task Hed begun,
He surely said, "Thats a job well done."

Good morning, Rus. Thank you for today's scripture.
Also, thank you for your contribution yesterday and everyday.
With record temperture of 112 yesterday, I didn't spend much time online.
Today is suppose to be another hot one but hopefully not as bad as yesterday.
Have a Blessed Weekend.

Good morning, GeeBee. Great to see you today.
It's been kinda hectic around here.
Today is the last day of VBS for Marissa. This is her second one.
She had 2 weeks of swim lessons between the two.
I may send her to another one on the 21st.
She enjoys going and it gives her time with other kids.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly physical. My blood pressure was high, my cholesterol was high, Id gained some weight, and I didnt feel so hot.
My doctor said eating right doesnt have to be complicated and it would solve my physical problems. He said just think in colors... fill your plate with bright colors.. greens, yellows, reds, etc.
I went right home and ate an entire bowl of .......
And sure enough, I felt better immediately. I never knew eating right could be so easy

Seriously My Late Father-(of Irish Ancestry) diet: Meat, Potatoes, Bread and Butter, Beer, no Tomato Sauce or Pasta, nor Rice or Tofu could never understand nor consume any of the Items on My Mother’s-(of Japanese Ancestry) diet: Fish, Rice, Tofu and Vegetables but putting it into perspective - My Mother’s diet was better for your health. Good Morning, Seoul62.
I am kinda a picky eater.
I eat several vegetable but I do not eat very much fish unless canned tuna counts. :)
I've put chicken with some vegetables in the crockpot for dinner tonight.
This will be the first time I've cooked it this way.
I would prefer that dish of M & M's. LOL
Have a great weekend.

Good Morning Amy and All!
I have been AWOL for a week here. Just stopping in to say hello. We have granddaughter and daughter coming nightly to stay after treatment at UCLA Center. I am hardly having time to take a deep breath these days.
Because she also has autism, it is creating a problem in treatment...
Grandma is tired but still alive!!
Waving HELLO’s ......

Good morning, Polly.
I've been wondering how things are going with you.
Hope your granddaughter is receiving the treatment she needs.
Marissa has kept me busy since summer vacation started.
All my idea but sometimes it is difficult to find a minute for ourselves.
Hope you can find a little time to relax this weekend.
Take care of yourself and have a great Day.

Why God Made Little Girls
Author: Henry Alfred Dixon
God made the world with its towering trees,
Majestic mountains and restless seas.
Then stopped and said, “It needs one more thing,
Someone to laugh and dance and sing.
To walk in the woods and gather flowers,
To commune with nature in quiet hours.”
So God created little girls.
With laughing eyes and bouncing curls.
With joyful hearts and infectious smiles,
Enchanting ways and feminine wiles.
And when He'd completed the task He'd begun,
He was pleased and proud of the job He'd done.
For the world when seen through a little girl's eyes,
Greatly resembles His own paradise.
