I haven't been sleeping much lately, my husband is somewhere on the other side of the world and I haven't spoken to him or received an email from him all month!
Anyway, I was just doing some surfing and I thought I'd ask my FRiends for some of their favorite web sites (other than FR of course) so that I can get some new surfing ideas.
So what are your favorite web sites that you regularly visit or have found recently?
My top ten can't miss sites are: 1) FR (of course) 2) Weather.com (Don't know why) 3) ebay.com (what's for sale out there?) 4) perezhilton.com (trashy gossip) 5) powerlineblog 6) riehlworldview 7) fox.com (for 24 spoilers, when the show was actually on!) 8) amazon.com (to see what's new in books) 9) verabradley.com (check out the new patterns/styles) 10)dailylit.com (really cool site which emails installments of books for free (or cheaply)
So turn me on to some cool new sites to amuse me during my period of insomnia!!
Thanks! GG
Thank you for your husband’s service and your own, FRiend!
Here’s where I spend lots of non-FR time:
-www.televisionwithoutpity.com (funny recaps and discussion of various TV shows)
-www.rottentomatoes.com (movie/entertainment reviews)
Thanks everyone!
Love Google Earth I can spend tons of time there, and I often check out my husband’s temporary (this month) locale but haven’t caught a glimpse of him yet!
I appreciate everyone’s suggestions and will check them out. Pardon the lack of individual responses....
Hope it don't take downloading diigo, prolly not though.
have fun ;)
I like checking out all the conservative columnists and cartoons at jewishworldreview.com.
To chill out, I like to put all my favorite old tunes into searches on youtube.com and watch the live performances. I also look up my favorite dance routines on “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Dancing with the Stars.” If you haven’t seen it, look for the ventriloquist winner on last year’s “America’s Got Talent”.
Free Republic is #1, natch!
Savage, Above Top Secret, Hillbilly Housewife, GardenWeb,
People’s Cube,The New American, The Onion, Bible Gateway, Duane Sheriff Ministries, Your Arms To Israel,The Musings of Claire Wolfe, FlyLady...
So many favorites, so little time!
I know to some it’s a dirty word...LOL but I go to lucianne.com a lot.

Florida is an interesting state - I like to check out their news.
Also, yahoo news is interesting.
horseswild.com/forums I dont have to handicap, they do it all for me.
Probably Free Republic and Iron Maiden’s website.
Oh, and Michael Bay’s website too.
YouTuber here also. I’m making playlists from my Favorites and inflict them on whoever I can. I subscribe to a few channels... some amazing stuff on there. Enjoy the serendipity of it and I just plain love music.
slacker.com
Internet radio. All the music and artists you can think of.
Forgottenny.com.
Facebook.com (hated it at first, now it is an addiction).
No cable here, believe it or not. Youtube is my first experience with music video. Tonight I tried out some songs for my Mother-Son dance at my son’s wedding.
I like FR, LGF, Powerline and for chatty stuff stuff, there’s webegtodiffer.com Lots of libs there but they talk about everything and have different forums.
What are some of the titles you looked at?
Nice topic... wedding soon?
Jeez, my wide-bodied cat would literally shred me if I tried to put her in a “carry case” like that.
