Prayer Request for Jim Robinson Original post: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1995434/posts?page=1
Sorry about being gone all day yesterday. I was at the VA hospital where a team of doctors and cardiovascular surgeons were examining my legs and trying to come up with a treatment plan for the circulatory problem I've been fighting for the last several years. The good news is they think they can save my legs! Hurrah! And I will probably be out most of today too. I'm going back to the VA this morning for some sonogram tests. More on that on another thread later. By the way, I was really impressed with the professionalism, courtesy, concern, care and respect the VA staff gives to our veterans. These people are great! |

I have also heard that cinnamon is good. I know someone with diabetes whose doctor recommended a shot a day. I don't know it it makes a difference whether it is whiskey, tequila, or what.

LOL
If it doesn't make a difference, I'll bet Jim would choose a whiskey (or a red beer)!
*grin *

Im glad we have a website where folks can untie their hearts in prayer.Don't know if that was a typo or not don-o, but you really hit on something there. I think there might be a sermon in that. We should un-tie our hearts when we pray. We get our hearts all tied up with the cares of the day and forget to untie them when we approach God to pray. Our prayers are often especially tied up with our own wishes, our own hearts desire. Yep, I think that might make a good sermon. I'll work on that. Thank you.
In the meantime, I will continue to pray for Jim's full recovery and thank the Lord that He is healing Jim as we pray.

Some folks with diabetes have been able to significantly reduce or even go off insulin by taking the ground cinnamon bark in capsules. I forget the dose. I think in one case it was 2 capsules morning and 2 more evening.

There was a discussion of cinnamon on FR quite a while back. Seems some recommended cinnamon - maybe 1/4 teaspoon? One poster recommended Saigon cinnamon. Capsules appear an easier way to get the proper dosage.

A1C reading? That's a big jump from not knowing to having to take injections! Maybe with diet and exercise you can get off the injections, Jim.
Prayers up!

So sorry to read that. And at post "666", it's like a bad omen.
I, too, have to test mine. I can control mine by diet.....good luck to you.
