Prayer Request for Jim Robinson
Original post: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1995434/posts?page=1

Sorry about being gone all day yesterday. I was at the VA hospital where a team of doctors and cardiovascular surgeons were examining my legs and trying to come up with a treatment plan for the circulatory problem I've been fighting for the last several years. The good news is they think they can save my legs! Hurrah!

And I will probably be out most of today too. I'm going back to the VA this morning for some sonogram tests. More on that on another thread later. By the way, I was really impressed with the professionalism, courtesy, concern, care and respect the VA staff gives to our veterans. These people are great!

Dear trussell, thanks for the ping! Sorry to have been less active in posting prayers the last week or so. Lots going on with family at home, but that doesn’t mean I’m not praying!! It just means you all are not seeing the prayers and able to pray along as much. Let’s pray now for Jim:

Heavenly Father, one true God, You are the only Lord. We worship You alone. You are Master and Director of the universe and our lives. How we adore You! How blessed we are to have a Father God who cares so much that He answers our prayers! We thank you, Lord God for all the prayers You have heard and answered in Your perfect way for Jim and his family in recent months. We thank you for the successful operation. We thank You for what You are doing which is seen and that which we cannot see, for we know You do some of Your greatest work in the invisible realm. Lord God, there are so many of us who are so grateful to Jim and his family for his faithfulness to you. He has obeyed Your directive to begin and persevere with www.freerepublic.com and through it so many of us have been blessed. The blessings are on a multitude of levels. On a personal level deep friendships have developed between people who would have otherwise never met. On a national, global and spiritual level it has allowed people to find each other, join together and make an positive impact for Your values to be restored where lost and preserved where threatened, and it has provided a place where we can join together to worship You and pray. Lord God, bless the Robinson family in every respect. Bless them in a way that they cannot deny it is by Your hand it has been done. We do ask for continued healing for Jim in every respect(we even ask for You to enable him to keep that toe he doesn’t need!), but we do not tell You how to bless this family for their faithfulness. We know, however, that You do hear our prayers and You will do this. So we stand before Your altar, bowed before Your throne and adore You for who You are and we will remain before You remembering to You, dear Jim, until You provide answer to our prayer. We thank you for being a God who hears our prayers and loves us in ways which manifest in every aspect of our lives. We give You all praise, honor and glory which You alone are due. In Jesus’ precious and mighty Name, Amen

The operation went smoothly and without much pain. I now have at least two major arteries delivering healing blood to my legs. I’m still a bit groggy and don’t know exactly what was done, but I believe I received at least two stints

Excellent news. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Heck you don’t need that big toe anyway.

I know you're being facetious, but, you'd be surprised how much you DO need it! :-)

Hi Terriergal

I was teasing Jim. It is my understanding that the big toe is needed for balance but I could be wrong.

If this is the case, Jim would not miss his big toe as much as others might. Jim is in a wheelchair and does not walk. I’m praying that they can save his big toe but I’m praying harder that they save his legs.

Thanks.
