He’s had two drafts and the team is going backwards this year. I don’t see how they are going to improve all that much under his direction next year.

The thing about the ‘06 Jets is that they stayed remarkably healthy while playing bad teams that suffered some serious injuries. The fact that they only went 10-6 under those circumstances is a testament to a bad roster.

Bengals will be a top 10 team in the draft, but not #1. Right now, that’s a coin-flip between Miami and St. Louis.
Yeah, thats how I see it. The track record on first round picks is nothing to ‘write home about’ with the Bengals. If the player doesn’t get a serious career threatening injury (Kijana Carter, David Pollack) they get flops (Reinhard Wilson, Akili Smith).
Carson Palmer as the number one pick was one even the brain dead (mike brown) couldn’t screw up.
We had well founded ‘high hopes’ after the 2005 season, but between devastating injuries on both sides of the ball, suspensions, and Chuck “I’ve never had a top 15 defense” Bresnahan at DC...all for naught.
Doesn’t help that you don’t have a scouting department or a true GM, and that half your defense is in jail...

I heard this afternoon that the Pats-Boys game yesterday was the highest rated NFL regular season game since ‘98.
Wow, I suspect it will be higher in a couple of weeks when they play the Colts...maybe.
