At least we dont need to go to the trouble of firing up the asphalt plant, this time. A pity in a way, because some of us (well, me at least) wished for Asphalt to rejoin us. But it looks like he got the BIG Zot from which there is no return.

The garlic bread is on the table, but brush your teeth after you eat it.

Sorry. I thought it was a riddle. Could be. Just above my present (tired) IQ.

Did I miss anything? Can I have my steak and salad, now? You may, but...
*mutters* (Now wheres that bottle of RhineMountain-something?) Anybody seen the garlic bread?
Rhine Mountain? Hmmm... But isn't the Rhine known for its white wines, not reds? (I may be ignorant here -- I usually key off the color on the box. Bottles are for uisge beatha, aka whisky.)
But happy you're here!
(Hmmm... steak & salad sounds good!)

Thank you. “Homey” is a good thing for November, I think.

I don’t drink red wines at all. Occasionally, I’ll have a rose’ or a white Zinfandel, but my wine of choice with ANY meal is always moselle. (Or mosel, in Deutschland.)

Rose/ is quite out for me; something in those doesn’t agree with me. White or red is fine, but I steer away from rose/.

I know for sure that red/roses give me a blistering headache after about three sips, so I have to be careful, indeed.
If you haven’t tried a good German mosel, I suggest you do so. Excellent!

Did you have many trick-or-treaters?
I was disappointed this year. Only one out of the fifty odd actually managed to come up with a trick.

To: Harmless Teddy Bear
Not here. There are too many old folks who are afraid to open their doors after dark.
There has been a rash of assaults on the elderly, recently, so most of the neighborhoods advocate the “buddy system.”
Most places that offer treats leave the porchlights on, and hang a paper pumpkin on their doors.
