Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
It’s just a little water :~)
Nnngh... We have a ginormous old oak tree in the front lawn, it has dead branches that are just waiting to take out a car. I think the ones over the house are all alive though, which is good.
But I love our tree.
That’s the benefit of having a real house, instead of a cardboard one... Even still, we’d have pictures :~)
I just saw it on my way to work and was already late. Jr’s taking pictures before he leaves for school. I’ll post ‘em tonight.
That’s a good boy.... :~)
We’re not flooding so far. The flooding was to our south.
Still got lots of rain though...Steve got some overtime doing samples. The temp at least has been fantastic, we enjoyed working in the shop on the Beetle.
Believe me, he owes me.
I let him drive the truck to Blacksburg yesterday for the Virginia Tech memorial dedication (and to see thegirlfriend). He was ~supposed~ to leave there at 6, it was closer to nine so I was up until after midnight waiting for him.
Then he didn’t know where his first class was. There are two campus locations. So I had to print his schedule, and a map and directions to the bookstore.
And I had to wash his work uniform. That he could do, but I knew he’d never get up in time.
On my way in, I was wondering if my dad ever really had a drinking problem before my brother and I were teenagers.
Heh... It didn’t help, I’m sure :~)
Heh. Feeling like a Southern author today?
~sip~
According to Jr’s investigation, there’s no damage in the attic. But if we hadn’t had the cable holding up that branch we would have had a new sky light.
So, there’s that.
Didn't rain on the way in, though. Lotsa muddy water, but that's why I'm getting fenders next week.
It’s good that you spent that money, then! For what that’s worth... :-\
Glad it wasn’t any worse, Corin.
Oh carp! Any series damage?
So I guess that money was well spent after all!
Anyway, we'll be heading out in a couple of hours, so I wanted to give you a heads up.
Cool! You gots freepmail.
If you look at the larger version, you can see the middle kneeling Marine has a suppressor on his rifle. Nothing says "love" to a grunt than quality weapons and knives.
Glad to see you back, there were some of us worried about you.
~sigh~
I’ve just inherited a tank of “sea monkeys.” Sister Mary Hamburner’s stepson forgot to take them back to school. So he offered them to Luke.
