ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - A man charged with murdering his wife said he accidentally impaled her on a sword and "cut her up" after she put food in his face, according to court papers. Timothy Brandon, 27, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Dawnita Brandon, 32.
Brandon told police he had his wife argued when she came home from a bar where they had been drinking Sunday evening, according to a police statement. She got home after he did, he said.
He told officers that his wife pushed a plate of food in his face. He said he started handling a sword and was holding it when his wife turned a corner and impaled herself on it, the police statement said.
Brandon told officers he then raised the sword and struck her "somewhere above the chest," according to the statement.
Brandon called a man who worked for him, Larry Watts, and said he had killed his wife and "cut her up," Watts told police.
A bartender told police that she had served Timothy Brandon alcohol that evening and that she had heard him curse at his wife and tell her, "I'll take care of you later."
Brandon remained in custody Thursday; a judge set bail at $750,000. Brandon said he would like to find his own lawyer but was not sure he could.
They were anti-immigration even in the 1880's. Didn't take to Chinese much. Kilt 'em.
Man, what a lousy way to die, turning a corner and accidentally cutting yourself to pieces. I mean, that’s right up there with drowning in the Sahara.
said he accidentally impaled her on a sword.......I hate it when that happens..........
Are there many trailer parks In Rock Springs?
Just askin’.....
I’m guessing you’ve never played Dungeons & Dragons or any other role-playing game.
Bill Clinton: “I did not impale.”
She had two kids, 11 and 9, who are living with her mother.
She married her killer just last year.
Oh, I hate it when that happens!
Wyoming? C’mon...how many liberals can there possibly be in Wyoming? Like 12 or something.
Who knew the sword was loaded?
“Judge she ran into my sword, she ran into my sword nine times!”
I don’t think that is going to fly.
Or he needed just a few more XP to get to the next level.... ;)
Alcohol and swords are a bad mixture.
I dunno, my party’s “always drunken bard” used to do pretty well.
How very sad.
Thanks for posting that link.
No, I can’t say it, I just can’t.
I’m not getting the XP reference. Must be a gaming term.
