My attitude is that a little paint never hurt the old barn. It makes the wood look better and preserves it from as much decay.
sounds good to me Jem.. this old barn is needing a lot more lately than a coat of paint however.
yum.. eating some homemade soup that I found in freezer.. no date etc. might be a year old.
At one time all my freezer things were labeled & I had a running log on the outside of freezer of what, when etc.

Good morning everybody. We spent the day yesterday moving the RV to another site, we’d been told we’d need to do that when we made the reservation. The place is very busy.
Anyway, we are set up now, refrig stocked. Hope to start the sightseeing this afternoon, but there is a decent chance for rain showers.
In this area if it rains hard enough it can cause mud slides.
Oh, and we did see some aspen yesterday. A few. So they’re around but much less prevalent than north of here.
One caller said she'd heard Obama say that genocide wasn't sufficient reason for our staying there...
Lysie, only you can get my day started with a meal fit for kings, the meaning of life, of joy, of the one meal that wards off hunger, one that gives you strength, happiness, admiratrion of folks who has the gift of fixing such a wonderful meal. What I am saying is ‘thanks’.
Allie had a wonderful day yesterday, Tracy took the young girls she grew up with, friends from the get-go, out to eat, to a movie, you know, frieds forever.
Me, I got a summer cold, a doozie at that, feels kike I have been hit up side the head with a cold stick, another day of doing nothing, keeping my chest rubbed down with Vicks rub, opens my nose up so I can breathe.
I see that another pub is being investigated, think it is two isn’t it? From Alaska? If you ask me, a total war against the pubs by the dimwits, more of our own will be investigated for sure. It is the goal of ‘dumb=arses’ to do every pub in, no holds barred, time to fight fire with fire, if that is, they had the guts to do so.
OK, off to the ‘big house’ for some ‘conversation’, no question, the girls are still asleep, I could set off the alarm system but I won’t,
Toby

Toby, hope you get to feeling better.....take care.
I liked the “hair and eyes” photos too.
Everyone have a great day....I have a full plate today...will TTYL.
It will be hot here, too. That's why I've done 2 loads of wash, cleaned one bath and plan to vac before noon.
Yes, Aug weather, and I love it.
I do NOT like seeing Fall things in the stores these days...
Got a notice from my internet provider that I was taking up to much room on their server. HUMPH!
Oh well, I've been meaning to clean, and straighten those files for awhile...
Have a great a.m. everyone. Back later...
Bumper sticker I saw yesterday:
**I was normal til I bought a Horse**
I'm working through those articles. This is an excerpt from the last one, Dems Behaving Badly.
one freshman Democrat, Rep. Nancy Boyda (D-KS) literally walked out of a House Armed Services Committee hearing on Friday because she couldn't stand listening to the good news being delivered to that committee by General Keane (Ret.)....
Dealing with the reality of this issue means acknowledging the significant progress made by American forces under the command of General Petraeus. The only way the Democrats can now avoid that, it seems, is to cover their eyes and ears--or walk out of the room.
Don't confuse them with facts, their minds are made up, and their play book is already written.
Also, cong. James Clyburn, D-S.C., is on tape in an interview with Dan Balz, I think it is, saying that a strong, positive report from Gen. Petraeus in Sept. "would be a problem for us."....OOPS! Cong. Clyburn, you're not supposed to be so open about the Dems strategy!
Aren't supposed to at least pretend you're on the side of winning???!! Guess not...
