RD...I'm not at all surprised about Jack and the trombone. What a dedicated son you have in all that he does! Takes after his Dad!

Prayers continue.

Tsk,tsk, Toby. D is right to get on your case for overdoing in the heat. I have the same problem with Roomey. Have to watch him like a hawk after a mouse. He’s already had heat stroke once...don’t want him to do it again. SO YOU BE CAREFUL, heat and humidity are not good.

Toby are you drinking enough water?
it doesn’t have to be ice water but it should be:

Take your body weight, divide by two and that is approximately how many ounces of water you should have per day.

200 lbs divided by 2 would equal approximately 100 ounces per day.

If you can’t do that much try to do at least 8 glasses of water per day for 64 ounces.

Wow, I didn’t know that was the formula to use. That would be a lot of water for some people. I can drink more than the formula calls for , for me, but it does make one visit the “loo” a lot.

I have an idea, let’s give a trailer to every illegal to take back across the border to live in as an incentive to stay there!

Just think that "running to the loo" will be your daily exercise, possibly losing weight. (Making ice water now. LOL)

Good Morning/noon, everyone!

RD, Congrats to Jack and good luck with that job wish.

Great idea about the water, Not. Excellent reminder...

I've been out weeding, & watering.

Prager talking about the poor news coverage of the terror incidents...words like "Islamists" not appearing... "AQ" does appear, but he thinks that's to make us think of a gang, remote, and not really so mixed in with our societies...

I was just atthe homestead and watched as the lawncare crew cut and trimmed and edged around the common areas of the complex. It struck me that one of the "boys" had his hat on sideways. Isn't this supposed to mean something that I should watch out for when outside with these guys?

RD, forgive me for being remiss in congratulating Jack on his latest accomplishment!

I drink about 3/4 gallon of Gatorade a day when working in the yard, got me one of those squeeze bottles and gulp it down, when I remember to do it, so easy to jump off the tractor and go into my shack and gulf a few swallows down. OK, I admit, I do not drink enough water when it is hot and I am working.

TEll FEMA they are disadvantaged and they will get a place to live in. We had two in our yard after the storm and FEMA did not have a record of one of them and would question us each time we called them to come get it.

You're fortunate to have your daughter, who loves you so much that she pesters you to what's good for you, Toby. But, of course, you already know that!

And you, RLDuke, are one fortunate father who has the son you have...Eagle Scout, talented in music and no doubt in other future pursuits, as well as being excited about achieving. Good job of parenting IMO, and I'm proud of both of you.

Thanks, but Jack still has his Eagle Service Project to do. If we make the move, that will have to wait a bit.

Duke, you have done a terrific job with that boy of yours. He’s very talented and sounds quite smart. He must take after his Dad, and like his Dad, may become another engineer. America is in sore need for Home Grown Engineers today. Congratulations to Da Kid for his musical accomplishments at camp. Prayers going up for your change in work.
