Yep...T-storms are on the docket here for the next couple of months, so I will often have to shut down without warning. Ugh.

Good Morning.
We might get some wet here too. Weird for July, although not unprecedented. If it happens, I’m sure the GW crowd’ll be out telling us to drive hybrids.

Morning! *hug*
I believe we’re only stewards of the land, and that we should respect it. But I also believe in moderation in all things. If the government wants me to drive a hybrid car, the government can darn well furnish the vehicle and all the hybrid fuel I’ll need for the rest of my life!
We need rain, the humidity is up, and some places even got some sprinkles this morning. Flash flood watches are in order, and now I can sit back and watch all the idiots get washed away because they lack common sense.

I agree about being stewards of the land...which is why I consider myself a conservationist. But I also believe that it's perfectly OK to exploit natural resources (timber, oil, minerals, whatever) for the betterment of humanity. It's the "environmentalists" that muck everything up.
I would love to see some rain...at least it would result in an end to all the gnashing of teeth over "the driest year ever" (more B.S.).

Our temp is supposed to be a mild 106. But the humidity is 22% right now, and it’s overcast. *sigh*

I think any resouce we have that can be renewed, we should do that. But as for oil and ore, they are here for our use. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

"Everything in moderation." They've lost sight of that.

At least the humidity will be lower. Of course, you’re not used to the heat, so anything you get is going to be difficult to deal with, at least in the first 15 minutes you’re out in it.

Longer than that. The car doesn’t have A/C. (Neither does the house.) I may have to retreat to the basement.

If you have a box (window) fan, set it in a window so that it exhausts the air in the house. Use it as a “swamp” cooler, and crack one window in the room you want to cool. The air circulation will make a lot of difference in how your body deals with the heat.

Moderation....that's a dead concept if there ever was one. I'm reminded of a mining operation back east somewhere. The mining company was working on someones private property. As a result of their operations, an entire hill was flattened. The property owner loved it, as it provided him with several acres of farmable land, ON HIS PRIVATE PROPERTY. But the environazis had a conniption fit, went to court, and forced the mining company to bring in fill and restore the hill to it's previous condition. Enviromentalism really is a religion.

Yah. Grew up with fans being our one means of cooling. We don’t have a window fan though. But I’ll be fine — it won’t be THAT hot.

Take the heat as an opportunity....now you can re-calibrate your appreciation for the mild wet climate you normally have.

I heard about that on the news this morning. If she can do it with a dog, that means the sky’s the limit on voter fraud.
