If you have a box (window) fan, set it in a window so that it exhausts the air in the house. Use it as a “swamp” cooler, and crack one window in the room you want to cool. The air circulation will make a lot of difference in how your body deals with the heat.

Yah. Grew up with fans being our one means of cooling. We don’t have a window fan though. But I’ll be fine — it won’t be THAT hot.
