I live in iowa.
The older bank buildings put the ATMs in the vestibule for customer safety. You had to swipe your atm card at the entrance to buzz the door in order to get access to the ATM machine. It was an attempt at security for the customers.
But it didn’t take long for people to realize that you could use anything with a magnetic strip to buzz the door.

Ah, but on the other hand - the young girl turned sixteen, walked out of the social services home, and cannot be forced to go back.
At 16 in Germany, one is emancipated.

A prosecutor told me today that mowing your lawn on a riding mower while intoxicated qualifies as DWI. He also said he didn’t know anyone who would actually prosecute such a case.
