Well, we could discuss how long bit of food has to rest on the floor (after falling from your plate) before you would refuse to eat it.

That's a pretty good idea for a topic.

For me, I don't think that gas prices will have a big effect on my travel plans. My little Saturn gets nearly 40 mpg on the highway, and the only big trip that I usually take in the summer is going home to see my folks. The price of gas could make the trip a little more expensive, but I make a good living and live carefully. I can afford to pay a little more for that trip.

A more interesting question for me will be whether I'm up to kayaking this summer. The truck that I use to carry the kayak doesn't get good mileage, but I just didn't have much energy or incentive to try kayaking last summer. If I'm still lacking energy this summer, then the price of gas will be irrelevant. If I feel more like doing things, I might end up doing more trips that are closer to home than I would if gas were cheap.

Thanks for the ping, RCA. I'll bump this thread to keep it going!

High fuel prices might affect my travel plans this summer. I was hoping to take a majestic road tour along the length of the Trans-Canada Highway from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, but that might get expensive this summer.

Good Morning. Thanks to Stout & RCA for scrambling. I am willing to continue to coordinate the thread if some will step forward to assist in thread posting.

NOT ONE SINGLE signed up last weekend.

ANYONE is welcome to take over this administrative role that I have undertaken for about a year & a half. Speak up it is yours. RIght now I am not able to just post a quick opening every week. If I could, I would. Life here is much more complicated than most know. My ideal goal is that twice a month various posters here at the Official thread will post a thread. Snugs will do thr third one and I will do the last one. The month is thus covered.

PLEASE note post 141 at More Information

No Sign-ups

No Thread

No Kidding

please do all your comments on thread for open sharing and so all can see who is volunteering for what.

Are the gas/travel prices going to affect your travel plans for this summer/spring??

In MY case--I KNOW it will.

Combined with me recently loosing my "secondary" job--I do not have the money to really go anywhere this summer. Nor did I really want to go to MB with my sister and cousin again, (it will be her 14th time there, or so--and would be my 6th time) to mainly be "there for the drive" for both of them.

So--no real travel for me. Things are in a mess anyway here. My mothers job is REALLY becoming a problem for her--an Arab woman is trying to "trump up" some things to get her fired. And I already spoke about loosing my second job. So--things are getting tighter and more tense here.

Well, gas prices haven't affected me too much, I don't travel as much although I think I've made a good friend up north of me In Butler County (PA) so I might spend time up there. He lives near Boyers, Pa where there is a huge underground bunker for storage that companies and the government uses and we might go on a tour there.

My secondary job, freelance website designing, is starting up again, that reminds me I have to return a call. B-)

It's a shame about your mom's job, I have an unruly co-worker too, for some reason, he doesn't really mingle and I have had female co-workers come to me and say they are a bit scared of him and glad to have me around. I just talk to him if it is business related since I don't want to start anything. BTW, is the Arab woman a co-worker or customer?

Actually my plans haven't, since I tend to travel more during the fall--read: football season. I use the summer mainly to work while everyone else is taking vacation, or in the case of a coworker of mine on the graveyard shift, work overtime during June and make some extra cash for football season that way.
