Thread Number 3
I’m not. I have no idea if HKS is a psycho or socio or not. A I don’t see him as one, purely from a layman’s personal viewpoint. but I’m sure there are degrees of whatever “opathy” there might be. Guess I’m not really interested in that aspect, but the words have been used a lot, so I mentioned ‘em. I’m more interested in whether he’s a murderer or not, and I don’t think he is at this time, but I’m also not one of the police investigators or pros on the case. If you’re a trained psychologist or psychiatrist, I defer to your observations.
Never say never. He got the Marshall Case to the Supreme Court....Who would have thunk!
I wish Larry hadn’t said it (and he might feel that way, too) because it was the first time that door had been opened by someone not on the HKS team.
It just seemed to me that Larry was trying to be helpful and had to wrack his brain for something that might pertain to that line of questioning - and that was the best he could do.
Did you leave off the /sarc tag on that?
I’m still trying to figure out the angle on ANS telling the nannies that Daniel borrowed “the black car” and went sight-seeing on the island in the wee hours of the morning.
That made no sense and is contradicted by witnesses - but I’m thinking maybe this is something HKS *told* her either as a story to tell others, or as his filling in her blanks in memory, or her own way of covering that Daniel didn’t *really* ever leave that hospital room.
It’s puzzling.
Quite possible. He may very well be an excellent addiction specialist, as you almost have to have been a past addict to be especially good and effective at being a rehab counselor or something related. Not saying all who study addictive behaviours and go into a line of work or research dealing with substance abuse or addiction issues have been addicts, because they’re not. I know of a couple, one is a family therapist and the other a psychiatrist, who are good at dealing with clients and patients with these problems.
Now here's a question. Was it actually Howard who got it to the Supreme Court? I gather there were other lawyers involved.
In Seidlin's court, Larry was VERY CAREFUL to make sure the world knew that the book existed. Howard must have sh** when he heard that. Fingerprints trumped Howard's denial for DNA???
I wished that Seidlin had asked Howard about the book....but he probably saw Howard's face and didn't need to...he knew.
Seidlin was very good at reading the folks before him.
Best part....(to Howard)..."You were the one who came knocking at my door at midnight..."
I read that the meeting with Virgie and Larry and lawyers, when Virgie was allowed to hold Dannielynn, was on Saturday, April 21st. I didn’t see anything in the article/transcript that stated the meeting took place in the ‘courtroom’ (on a Saturday??). I don’t know where the meeting took place, but I doubt it was in the courtroom. Also, MSNBC was there and they apparently had cameras, or there would have been no reason to state that Virgie didn’t want to go on camera. I believe if Vergie wanted to get pictures (of Dannielynn or of her holding Dannielynn) to sell later, she could easily have done that....and she DIDN’T.
I’m also wondering what happened to the idea of requesting the flight attendants to come to the inquest as witnesses.
It’s so strange that Wayne Munroe was on the same flight with him. Y’don’t s’pose barrister Munroe took a pad of those special HKS “confidentiality agreement contract” forms with him to re-visit those stews, do ya?
Howard first said (on Larry King?) that Daniel had said he wasn’t at all tired, so Howard could sleep in the other hospital bed and he, Daniel, would sit up and watch TV. That’s probably why Howard said what he did about Daniel saying he was sleepy later on. You wouldn’t think anything of it under normal circumstances,
I remember your saying that maybe Anna wasn’t as drugged up as she appeared, but only acting. I only saw a moment from the clown video so I didn’t form a strong opinion. But you raised a doubt in my mind. I appreciated your taking another perspective because we cybersleuths should examine this case from every angle.
I disagree with your view of Howard, though, in the end. You know what turned me for good? His depriving Anna of talking to her mom after Daniel died. There’s no doubt in my mind that an unstable woman like Anna could only gain comfort from one person after giving birth to one child and losing the other. Her mother. All would be forgiven. Anna needed to be held like a baby in order to contain her grief. It seems she transferred that need to KE.
As a follow up to that evidence was the highly believable testimony on t.v. of those two black nannies. They both stated that Howard wouldn’t pick Anna up after she fell. Or would do such a cruel thing as to offer one finger. Their testimony convinced me that Howard was/is a real Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde.
Hmmmmm indeed! If authorities would just make the same connections!
My train of thought was:
I was wondering if Rale’s comment on February 8 regarding the February 21 DNA date was made before or after detox was a ‘dead’ issue.
No, I said I think their licenses should be yanked, at the least.
The “stinky” stuff could have happened very quickly, just prior to or even as Tas was attempting rescue breathing, or whatever the heck it was she was doing.
Said they met at a place (sorry not exactly courtroom) with Larry, Virgie and all their Lawyers and that the nanny brought the baby in to allow Virgie to hold her.
Get the message....Howard wants Larry and the baby to go away. Virgie is his enemy...He thought she would be the first to fall by the wayside.
Geez....Did Howard think Virgie didn't really care about Anna or the baby?? Hell, Anna made Howard the father....at the drop of a dime...and a boat...and a phoney wedding...a 10K ring.
Anna was easy!! Virgie is what real parents and grandparents are like.
Oh, the first thing many newly sober guys do, after they’ve sponsored one sponsee, is go get their MSW so they can be a counselor. Egos get swelled as they see recovery working.
A year or so down the road, the men are separated from the boys and not many stick it out. It’s one thing to try to help someone who wants help, all on a voluntary basis, and quite another to deal with people sent by the courts, who just want someone to sign their court slips.
I seriously would like Larry to turn out to be a good guy. And, I realize, I've been a little mean in some poorly worded posts, when I should have just shut the computer off and gotten some sleep. I think Larry will be a loving dad and I think Larry has a fine family that would be gracious towards Virgie's family. I'd love to see him 'retire' to a Kentucky (vermont/montana/irish) horse farm where DL can chase fireflys in June,
Virgie said, the FIRST question to answer, was paternity. Done. Now it's time for the more important questions, which have always been there.
Did LB or HK think that Virgie was just going to find out paternity and go home? I'd be seriously surprised if she did. There are a lot of unanswered questions left. I find it hard to budge from my original position of TeamAnna and TeamDaniel, and going after anyone involved or complicit in DL's mothers' or brothers' deaths.
If, on behalf of DL, LB signed on with Virgie in pursuit of her own answers, then Team Virgie and Team Birkhead could change back to TeamDanielandAnnaLand. I sure hope Larry changes his mind and decides to help Virgie, blackmail by HK be damned. JMO
You won’t believe the cripe that was posted in gossip blogs over the weekend, following tmz’s lead on the 40-yo story. It was nauseating. Bless her heart.
Perper did explain himself somewhat...by saying it wasn’t like a truamatic blow...He said he could never prove it...but with a little police work...I think they could. It would be a circumstantial case but many murderers have been convicted on circumstantial evidence.
