I remember your saying that maybe Anna wasn’t as drugged up as she appeared, but only acting. I only saw a moment from the clown video so I didn’t form a strong opinion. But you raised a doubt in my mind. I appreciated your taking another perspective because we cybersleuths should examine this case from every angle.
I disagree with your view of Howard, though, in the end. You know what turned me for good? His depriving Anna of talking to her mom after Daniel died. There’s no doubt in my mind that an unstable woman like Anna could only gain comfort from one person after giving birth to one child and losing the other. Her mother. All would be forgiven. Anna needed to be held like a baby in order to contain her grief. It seems she transferred that need to KE.
As a follow up to that evidence was the highly believable testimony on t.v. of those two black nannies. They both stated that Howard wouldn’t pick Anna up after she fell. Or would do such a cruel thing as to offer one finger. Their testimony convinced me that Howard was/is a real Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde.
I do think Anna was acting in that vid, at least in part. To me, the portion of the video that comes before the portion filmed outdoors, her eyes looked very clear. Perhaps I’m blind, lol, but they did to me.
I truly do wish Anna and her mother had connected right after Daniel died. I really do. I’m foggy on whether Virgie said she did try to call Anna back and when that was. Do we know for 100% certainty that HKS prevented Virgie from calling Anna, or that the household help had been told to not let calls get through? If Anna had told HKS and the others in the house she wouldn’t take calls from her mom, would that make a difference to you?
Do you remember exactly when it was Virgie went on TV after Daniel died? I’m foggy there, too, and have also noticed I’m making a ton of typos, so I need to hit the hay.
Forgot to add: I didn’t get to see the nannies’ interviews, and have heard opinions that echo yours and of course, the exact opposite. I can’t say anything about them because I haven’t seen them.
P.S. I’m fortunate to garden most any day of the week, weather permitting:) I don’t seem to be able to accomplish as much as I used to, not so long ago, (some arthritis, fatigue, muscle pain) and that bums me out:(
what disproves to me, that it was 'acting' was the child, Riley crying and freaking out and yelling at HK to go get a screwdriver and show Anna - if Anna were just acting, she would have immediately stopped and comforted Riley. I don't see her NOT doing that, if she saw the child ws frightened....the clown video day was SUPPOSED to be a day 'just with riley'; no stern. The video was proportedly almost an hour long.
