I believe you have nailed the sociopath and labeled him correctly. He also had the medical observer on hand to witness his “authentic caregiver” role - OLD KE- helping, enabling and becoming his scapegoat for any future comeuppance.

The dad is Larry L. and I don’t even know what the L. stands for, because of not being able to find anything on him. Larry himself (Dannielynn’s father) is Larry E. and I have seen that it’s Eugene, but I can’t confirm that with anything official.
Note that neither one is Lawrence in any legal docs, always Larry. The dad is not the Rev. in KY - that man’s name is Thomas or something “T” with Larry as the middle name. And none of the Owensboro KY Birkheads are directly related, altho I suspect there is a common ancestry.

You’re thinking of the “agent for process” or the “registered agent” for the corporation.
It’s about 50/50 among all the corporations and companies registered in any state as to half being the attorney who did the incorporation and half being the main founder of the company.
In the case of Hot Smoochie Lips, it was Howard as the R.A., but it was not just as attorney - it was as one of the two shareholders of the corporation.
So, if Skane is now the registered agent, he has replaced Howard, who was one of the two owners - the other having been ANS, now deceased.
As noted in the petition for Special Admin, HK is still maintaining the Neilson street address in Santa Monica for his mailing and US domicile. There is no reason for someone in San Diego (Skane) to be set up to receive legal docs for an existing HSL.
The HSL that contained Anna’s business assets, such as modeling contracts, movie contracts, TV appearance contracts, residuals, likeness licensing and so forth, had gone into arrears last year.
No one had paid their state franchise taxes for doing business in the state of California, so their registration was rescinded. I have the figures somewhere on how much it was, but I’ve forgotten. It seems like it was in the $20,000 range, similar to the amount that was owed in property taxes on the Studio City house.
In fact, the back taxes on the house, where the house showed up also as “in arrears” in the tax assessor database, were two years’ worth, with another that was due in April.
I noticed that the assessor had put an amount needed to “redeem” the property of about $23,000. I’m not sure, but possibly because the house was in the name of the corporation, I thought perhaps the franchise taxes had also been added to the back property taxes to come up with that redemption amount.
The franchise tax board can shut down a business and I could only see about $7,000 in property taxes due, so that’s why I think it’s the franchise tax owed that was added to that amount.
Apparently, Skane paid somebody the redemption amount - maybe just the franchise tax amount, not the property taxes on the house - to get the Hot Smoochie Lips name and keep it activated. It’s a little confusing because normally the old listing would disappear (the one with HKS as the Reg Agent), but it is still listed, as is the new Skane one from Mar 2007.
*Something* shady is going on, you can bet on that. I’m also pretty sure everything that could be transferred to whatever that new Bahamian registry company is (Cracker or Crackers Inc.??) has been transferred and the original HSL is just a shell.
Eventually, we’ll find these things out in court.

Oh, my! *curtsying* I’d like to thank the Academy, or the Firm, actually, for this award. I have always aspired to have the most knowledge of Anna Nicole Smith’s death of anyone in the online conservative universe and now my dream is a reality.
And no one was killed in the making of this legacy. Well, except Anna and Daniel. Other than that, my hands are clean. Well, not clean, because of the rash cream. But clean of any wrongdoing.
Well, I’ve done wrong in my lifetime, but not while doing ANS thread sleuthing. Wait, that’s not quite true - I have done some very bad things while posting here. I’ve neglected my chores, but I don’t think that’s a mortal sin.

So, today Howard refuses any money from the estate - if only he can be the executor

If I had my druthers, the Marshall family would have a little Howie-type Leroy person who had a boilerplate stock news release he would send out every single time a media outlet wrote or broadcast something like that.
It would just state something like "please cease and desist from printing false statements concerning the late Anna Nicole Smith and the estate of our late father. Miss Smith is not an heir to the estate."
Or maybe something like "we'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog, too!"
I am very disappointed with Larry. Even if Stern has something on him I’m disgusted by his attitude and his family’s attitude towards Virgie. He and his brood should remember those months that Anna and HKS were steamrolling over them.
He still seems unconcerned in regard to two people dying.....Not just two people...but the mother of Dannie Lynn and her only son. Did he and Anna love each other?? Maybe...and no more.
The only "blood" relative that Dannie Lynn actually has is Virgie since the line is the "mother's".
Howard did it just right. Get rid of Virgie. She's poor and can't afford to and isn't healthy enough to take on the "fight".
No one tried harder than Virgie to keep Anna straight and "save her from herself" and warn her.
Danny....What a sad life. Mom "gave him" to Virgie for 6 years and when she could "use Danny" to get money from the "stupid, dying old man", Anna did.

I'd be fighting just like Virgie did. I'm a grandmother. Larry's the father but he runs with a slick crowd...no life for that baby...but time will tell. Larry has "the media" on his side and it sells!!

Virgie Arthur will support Billy Smith’s effort to bring Daniel’s body back to the USA.. . .
Larry will only allow Virgie to have 2 supervised visits with DL in California per year. . .
Larry will never get married. There will be no caring step-mother for DL, just a group of Hollywood weirdos. . .Shakespearian jurisprudence!. . .”

By the way, according to an LA tax attorney bud, HKS needed to say that ANS had that ridiculous minimal amt of personal property because amounts in LA probate courts less than 10,000 forstall the automatic requirement of an ITEMIZATION of all personal property by the appointed executor.
