Your scenario sounds like his MO. He'll structure the tale with the evidence available to him.
Witnesses/acquaintences have been so contradictory in describing the relationship between ANS and HK$. It's very possible it was so dysfunctional, sadistic and psychotic - all are truthful.
Possibly, ANS under the influence of drugs had no judgement on people and behavior - but in her more lucid moments her "street smarts' kicked in and she really did not care for Stern and like Daniel was afraid of him.
Under the influence of drugs, she probably depended on his "legal expertise" and was intimidated by his "knowledge". Strange that he seemed not to have any influence on her sexual life....which, from all accounts, excluded him.
What a bizarre relationship it must have been, I cannot relate to it in any way.
Ooh. that's even better than my idea. Composing a suicide note for Anna. Just how STUPID are these people?!
And now today the "news" that HKS was taking Anna to Dubai for rehab. Gimme a friggin break!
They are really grasping for straws now. I see desperation. This is when the BIG mistakes are made.
Taz may have been trying, but if her computer skills are similar to her 'nursing' skills . . .
Howard had no reason to take Anna on that trip to Florida. She was sick!! He could have flown to Florida and the boat could have been in the Bahamas the same day or even the next morning.
Did he think that the Indian police would be very quiet so the reputation of the Hard Rock wouldn't be harmed?? Is Trimspa no longer welcome at the Hardrock??
Right on sod. As i've been trying to get across, people are entirely different when they're on massive doses of drugs than when they are not. And i'm not convinced she was an addict. So people could've seen her and Howard in different ways depending on how high he/she was.

I wonder if he really cared about what she did in bed with others. Maybe he only cared about the money. Plus there's that thing about him being, ya know, perhaps playing for the home team.

In order for us to understand we'd have to get inside the head of a sociopath (which is hard) and someone heavily into drugs (tho not an addict maybe). That's quite a combo.
But the one that gets me the most is that he couldn't wait until morning to take the pictures of Anna, Daniel and Dannie Lynn, a picture entitled "See, everyone is alive and well and happy."

If HKS communication with Dubai about a move is true, it could establish premeditation. (It served to bolster his appearance as a responsible, caring individual who was making an effort to get ANS on the path to recovery . . . while still providing and administering her drugs)
Maybe Anna wrote a few emails to Larry that were nasty. But did she write all of them??
Maybe Anna DID talk about suicide. But if Thompson was told by Anna to get her stuff before she left on that trip, she wasn't going to commit suicide. Just the fact that he knew her password might be enough.
P.S. I'll bet there are Kapoor relations in Dubai.
I heard Harvey, too. You caught pretty much everything he said. Seems the primary interest in the computer is drug related.
