Thread Number Two
Maybe he has that book with the fingerprints with a print for Uncle Howard. That would be sweet!!
That would be good! Why Howie, why'd you put yourself down as the uncle?
Yeah Howie, why?
Yes, agreed.
He's got some "splainin" to do
Ok - thanks and no progress today either????? The inquest is not ever going to happen. They will see to it. It's too damaging to Stern.
Rte66 replied: The methadone is the crux of the matter, because it was a large dosage, he wasn't a user of it and it's illegal to possess there.
I agree. The methadone is the crux. And a search for chloral hydrate.
Still, it must have been sheer ignorance (or canniness or neglect) on someone's part to generously give Daniel another SSRI (serotonin reuptake inhibitor) when he was already using a different one. Three thoughts come to mind: 1. You cannot mix the 2 SSRIs without worrisome effects; 2. Why would anyone add another SSRI to the mix given the fact that there is no euphoric factor involved; 3. Could Daniel not afford more Lexapro? Why use another's scrip when he simply could have gone to his doctor for more?
Hey there!
I just want to clarify something about hypnotic drugs. "Hypnotic" in the case of drugs, means it puts a person to sleep; if you think about it, chloral hydrate (also used for anesthesia), as a date rape drug, just knocked people out so heavily that they couldn't remember what had happened (like being raped/brutalised which might wake you up if you are not anesthetised). This is different from a sedative, which is intended to calm someone down. No weird and creepy hypnosis possible with chloral hydrate. Just murder.
Thanks for clarifying! I thought that was the case, but I didn't know how to explain it.
" Perper is right when he says there is no physical evidence of homicide - somehow you'd have to show that somebody deliberately gave her too much chloral hydrate - and that's next to impossible to show."
Perper's own words betray him.
Page 16
" Miss Smith drank her Chloral Hydrate out of the bottle making it difficult to determine the exact dosage ingested."
ANS was surrounded by health care professionals ( MD and RN )and a lawyer who watched her drink CH out of the bottle.
They all played Russian roulette with the CH .
The RN and the prescribing MD ,Erosevich ( who was present 24/7 for months ) willfully allowed ANS to determine her own dosage.
They stood by and watched her guzzle CH.
Erosevich prescribed other drugs and then watched as ANS mixed everything and anything, at will.
They did not keep the CH locked away.
They left the CH available to her at the bedside for her to take whenever she wanted.
The CH was given for far more than the 2 to 7 days recommended .
They all had to know what was going to happen..they stood by and waited.
As a physician, I cannot express how appalling this is to me.
I would never have prescribed Chloral Hydrate to ANS-not for one day.
It's so potent , one slip could be fatal.
And it was completely contraindicated in a suicidal, depressed, drug abusing woman.
I feel that it is unconscionable and yes, criminal for an MD or an RN to stand by and watch a mentally impaired woman swig Chloral Hydrate.
Dr Perper obviously does not feel this way, which is mystifying.
Erosevich disgusts me beyond words. She shames our whole profession.
Hello everyone...
Had to work today and have tried to catch up and will try to comment on some things that I have a little knowledge on.
I was surprised when I heard that Larry was going to testify to Daniel's drug problems as I thought it gave cover to HKS.
However, I thought it out and also finished reading "Trainwreck" the brand new biography by Anna Nicole's step sister Donna Hogan. Donna is very close with the aunt and uncle who lived with ANS at the ranch and were present when she married the old man. They are the ones who had the explosive video where ANS was trying to get the old man to say that he wanted her to have half of everything and he didn't cooperate.
Donna confirms that ANS and HKS knew Daniel had drug problems and CHOSE not to do anything about it. They didn't want to send him to rehab as they didn't want the publicity.
Pinning murder on HKS would be hard as you have to PROVE intent. Negligence, however, is an entirely different story.
It will proven that HKS knew that Daniel had a drug problem and that it was criminally negligent to allow the drug methadone (illegal on the island!) to be within the reach of Daniel. Personally, I think HKS gave it to him and possibly with malicious intent...however, again, it would be difficult to prove.
But...with the sordid history of how ANS and HKS raised the child in a cesspool of drugs and sex and then allowed him access to methadone causing his death...well....
HKS will be found to an unfit person, an udesireable as a resident of the Bahamas and hopefully,...
his life will spiral downward just like the water when the toilet flushes.
Additionally, there will be many people testify to Daniel's depression, and drug issues including Ray Martino.
Ray was ANS's lover for two years after the death of the old man. Ray was like a father figure to Daniel and that is who Daniel was living with at the time of his death.
He is no friend of HKS.
Another thing I find interesting is the fact Dr. P said the CH has such a bad, strong taste that there was no way someone could give it her without her knowing. Well, heeeellllooooo, who's to say she didnt know she was taking it but didnt know someone gave her a strong, lethal dose? His reason to substantiate that it couldn't have been murder for that reason just doesn't sit well with me or make sense! IMO
This is off topic, but I know we have some HGTV and TLC fans here! I would like to start a ping list, so if you are interested--please freepmail me.
Remember Richard Davis and the S.C. Trademark crew from A&E? The new show is about to start. There is something called A home run for Trademark coming on tomorrow night at 9pm (central?). I think this is just a special and not the new show because I "think" the new show is supposed to be called The Real Deal or something like that and starting in April.

Also, tomorrow at 1pm (I think central?) gorgeous Andrew Dan-Jumbo from While You were Out starts his new show Take Home Handyman on TLC.

Check your local listings for accuracy.
Sheesh. I needed THE LIST! But I did use the OJ Simpson comparison, and the fact of a little baby who should not be in the hands of a drug pusher like Howard K Stern.....and that I believed Daniel Smith's death could not be explained any other way than being given major methadone overdose - against his will or probably against his knowledge.
I then talked about the Chloral Hydrate and my sister's hubby is a retired doctor and he (who had not been paying attention to this case) perked right up - saying that is a very bad drug in combination with others.......and he was surprised ANS had been given it.....
But they all just howled about the fact I was following this case and even "blogging about it" - that's what they called what we do here.....oh well.
First of all, bwahahahaha!!!!!!
Secondly, there is a lot to be said about the way psychopathic (and other) types manipulate people. Here's one way:
Playing the Servant Role Covert-aggressives use this tactic to cloak their self-serving agendas in the guise of service to a more noble cause. It's a common tactic but difficult to recognize. By pretending to be working hard on someone else's behalf, covert-aggressives conceal their own ambition, desire for power, and quest for a position of dominance over others.

"It's what Anna would have wanted."
I don't think it is blackmail. I think it is all due to a general societal naivete. Perper is playing by the rules we all fundamentally ascribe to; Howie is playing by his own- largely, seduction and illusion (aka, hypnosis; aka, controlling the narrative).
Another seduction? Perper loves the stage. Whether he knows it or not. And he panders to it. IMO. Howie is glad to oblige and applaud.
Bingo. That's him.
Got to turn on Greta...this is great!
Go Greta, go Greta!
