Stern attorney Wayne Munroe argued it would be "reckless" to continue the inquest before the Supreme Court had ruled on the issue.
Munroe and his previous objections to to certain provisons of the Coroner’s Act, etc.
Prison Guard Arrested... Then Released?
The high-profile coroner's inquest into the deaths of a prison officer and an inmate in January came to a dramatic conclusion on Tuesday with the coroner ordering that a warrant be prepared for the arrest of a prison officer, and his attorneys rushing to the Supreme Court and securing a stay of execution.
Insisting that their client’s constitutional rights were violated, Attorneys Wayne Munroe and Dion Smith, who appeared before Justice Jon Isaacs, also want the Supreme Court to quash the entire proceedings of the six-week inquest.
According to Mr. Munroe, the coroner had no authority to make the order she made.
He also said that certain provisions of the Coroner’s Act are in breach of the constitution, a point the attorneys expect to argue before the Supreme Court. Mr. Munroe maintains that the coroner’s court has no authority to conduct an inquest into a prison break, but only deaths.
"At all times remember that these persons escaped lawful custody. Any means would have been available for their recapture. They could be killed and it would be lawful. But if these persons were recaptured and handcuffed, to kill them would be unlawful," Coroner Virgill said.

WAYNE MUNROE AT IT AGAIN...
The President for the Bar Wayne Munroe well we don’t quite know what he was saying. He seemed to be suggesting by his comment that he did not agree with political interference in the Courts. What was he talking about? Who was interfering politically? The decision was announced by the Chief Magistrate and the Chief Justice. His only criticism could have been directed at his own party the FNM that made something political which it was not. Here is what he said: “It is irresponsible for anyone to suggest that the Supreme Court will be interfered with when any party wins the elections as that would be a breach of the principle of separation of powers.” As we said, it is the FNM who said that and we are so cynical about this Bar President that he could only have been saying that to try and fool people that he is even handed after his criticism of the PLP the week before (click here). We add only that his comments make no sense because if a Government wants to change the law on the Coroner’s work that is certainly we think within the competence of the legislature to do so. Surely he can understand that. We quote the song “You talk too much. You worry me to death. You just talk too much!”

Bar Association President Welcomes Change In Coroner’s Court Policy
On Wednesday, a memo sent from Sir Burton addressed "to all Stipendiary and Circuit Magistrates" and titled "Matters arising under the Coroner’s Act, Chapter 56," stated that "it is notified that with immediate effect the practice that was instituted in 1993 of designating a particular magistrates court as the Coroner’s Court will be discontinued."
As Mr. Munroe sees it, Magistrate Virgill is being given the opportunity to consider different options within the judiciary system. Magistrate Virgill meanwhile declined comment on the matter on Thursday.
On Wednesday evening, the FNM blasted the move saying it was "deeply disturbed" by the decision.
The FNM said that prior to 1993 there was an enormous backlog of unexplained deaths awaiting the attention of magistrates throughout The Bahamas who were already far too busy performing their normal functions to take any extra time to investigate unexplained deaths.
Party Leader and former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham vowed that if the FNM is re-elected, it would cause the Coroners Act to be changed to provide for specialty coroner’s courts.
Larry was interviewd after Stern did the appeal. Larry was real cool headed almost too relaxed and cool headed about it.
He said something like... that's Stern delay delay delay but delaying it will not stop the truth from coming out or something to that effect.
Threats from Team Stern? Payoffs? Too bad. They were gonna be two good witnesses.
Howard Stern keeps looking worse by the hour and acts like only a sadistic guilty person would.

I'm not sure if there is testimony today, so they may resume Stern coverage next hour.

I don't understand why some man somewhere that suspected his child wasn't his, wouldn't want a DNA to end that speculation. Unless you can't do that there.

I think Howard is trying to ASSUME Anna's "deal" with the Thompsons and whomever to make the deal valid.
But, the world knows, thanks to the media (probably ET), that switched to saying it was a "gift" and she wasn't going to sign no mortgage.

The house is a big deal because it is what she used as "Residence" for her legal standing in the Bahamas.
Now, how does that apply to Dannie Lynn's status? She was a Resident under her mother's status and that would be/should be on Dannie Lynn's birth certificate.
So, does Howard need that house to make the WHOLE THING work?? If the house deal is false, the Resident certificate is false? the fatherhood certificate is false?

At least one of them wrote an affidavit. What's she gonna say, "oh i made that up cuz i mad cuz i was not paid". I don't think the jurors will buy that. These people are already suspicious of Stern and know about the bribes and blackmail.

I can't remember who said it..Pro Pinder? .....when all this started....he said that it's so unlikely that a guy wants to claim a baby as his. Ususally they're denying paternity. Sorta like a lot of men in the US also. Of course, not in the Anna Nicole case!
I think he's just trying to make it so the DNA can't be used in the USA by the California courts.
