Bahamian officials have also summoned Daniel Smith's friends from California to testify about his demeanor in the days before he died.

After the evidence is presented, jurors will be asked to recommend one of four possible manners of death: murder, manslaughter, accidental/misadventure or otherwise.

Pro Pinder appears to be a heavy weight attorney on the island, which adds up to "influence".

They could have the utilities legally turned off, BUT won't do it out of charity for "the little baby".

I suspect they are giving Howard till the 3rd, then cut off power to drive the squatter out of there..

Howard can't live anywhere else where he can HIDE behind gates like he has now. He's basically in a fortress.

He's days there are numbered.

"""""""""Bahamian officials have also summoned Daniel Smith's friends from California to testify about his demeanor in the days before he died."""""""""""

I trust they will understand that any 'depression/anxiety' should be attributed to his concern for ANS and fear of HK$ - not depression over his love-life!

on for today?!?!?!

The inquest into how Daniel Wayne Smith died is expected to resume on Thursday bringing the circus back to the Bahamas. Most of the players in the Anna Nicole Smith saga plan to witness or will be on hand to observe. Anna Nicole Smith will even testify from her grave.

Anna Nicole's lawyer turned companion Howard K. Stern and her ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead will both likely testify that Daniel Smith had a problem with drugs.

Two of Anna Nicole's nannies are expected to testify saying they heard her blaming Howard for Daniel's death. One of Anna Nicole's former friends Ford Shelly is expected to testify saying he saw Stern removing drugs from Daniel's pockets after he died.

One of the witnesses on the list is even dead. Daniel's mother Anna Nicole Smith was expected to be a key witness in the inquest, but since she is dead - the court will hear a statement that Anna Nicole gave police after Daniel died.

Three important people seem to be missing from that witness list...KE, Michael Scott and the PI that Danny hired.

Mr. Stern...Would you benefit from the death of Daniel Smith? No.

The order of deaths is as important as the deaths. Howard's mistake was putting off the original Inquest where Anna herself would testify....But he couldn't take a chance.

The trick will be if Howard can get all the testimony to reflect the events leading up to Daniel's death, excluding ANY reference to anything that happened later including Anna's death.

I never watched the series, but doesn't this whole crisis remind you of "Survivor" previews?

Who will be next to be forced off the island?

KE seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Is she back on the Mother Ship?

It might also be true of this thread - survival of the fittest or the most fanatical;) tee hee

IIRC, we are suppose to hear sometime around 10 or 10:30, after the potential jurors have arrived, whether or not a jury will be selected and whether or not they will be questioned as to bias, and if that part moves forward, then on to the inquest.

Are they Bahamian, does anyone know?

One of the nannies (Quethlie Alexis)at one time was trying to get her Bahamas work permit back after being fired by ANS, HKS, or both.

Now I'm confused ;)...I thought the jury was there to decide cause of death...then if anything appears suspicious, they will further investigate manner of death? Oh, I can see my mind is not going to be functioning well today either, lol.

Anyone else have Fibro Fog?

This reminds me that I have seen various heights given for Princess Diana, don't known which are accurate, but twice 6' was stated. Obviously media does not always get their facts right like in Anna Nicole's case. The ME Dr. Joshua Perper spins stories out of a fantasy world.

HKS's lawyers are alarmed that the public did not swing over to HKS's side when the autopsy results came in.

So... HKS's PR firm (yes...the man with no job has now added a PR firm to his army of attorneys, nannies and bodyguards) is now roaming the web posting on websites their support of HKS under aliases.

Here is the article:

406. The Houston Chronicle
Wed Mar 28 2007

It has recently come to light that the lawyers representing Howard K. Stern have hired a public relations firm in an effort to turn his reputation around. A source who is an employee at the office of one of Stern's several lawyers says that Stern's team of advocates are "desperate" and "quite alarmed" that, despite their best efforts to sway public opinion in Mr. Stern's favor, polls indicate that the vast majority of respondents remain vehemently convinced that Stern played a role in the deaths of model Anna Nicole Smith, 39, and her 20-year old son Daniel Wayne Smith.

"The lawyers are scrambling," says the source, who prefers to remain anonymous. "I think they figured people would change their minds after the [autopsy] report was released."

On Monday of this week, Dr.Joshua Perper, Medical Examiner for Broward County in Florida, released his autopsy findings. Dr. Perper determined that Ms. Smith died as a result of a drug overdose and that her death was an accident.

Based on one recent poll, 9 out of 10 respondents did not agree that her death was an accident.

"The blogs are saying differently," our source said. "A lot of people are wondering how the medical examiner could base his findings on testimony that came from people who would be the first ones to lie if they had anything to hide."

According to our source, the internet is filled with blogs, or message boards, where the public can post their opinions about the Anna Nicole Smith case. One such blog can be found at TMZ.com, an entertainment site that posts news related story about celebrities.

"Mr. Stern's folks have been monitoring the blogs for months now," our source said. "They've been trying really hard to change people minds [about Mr. Stern]. The problem has mushroomed and it’s beyond their capabilities to handle.

"I suppose because they're figuring he may be facing charges here [in the United States], they hired our agency. Part of our job will be to go on the blogs and try to get people to change their minds about their client. People's opinions can affect the jury pool and change the outcome of a trial."

Coincidentally, Mr. Stern's concerns about a tainted jury resulted in an unexpected delay in yesterday's inquest proceedings in the Bahamas. The delay came about because of Mr. Stern's wish to do away with the jury or at least have the opportunity to question the 7-person panel about their impartiality. Such a request is unprecedented. The inquest procedure is rooted in a Common Law tradition dating back almost 300 years.

SHE HOPED TO 'STARVE' BABY
BOMBSHELL CHARGE

By JANON FISHER in Nassau, the Bahamas, and DAVID K. LI in New York
February 15, 2007 -- Anna Nicole Smith's former nanny said the model ordered her to underfeed Smith's newborn girl - in order to make the infant look "sexy," according to shocking court papers.

The accusations were made last year by one-time nanny Quethlie Alexis during a wrongful-termination beef she had with Smith in the Bahamas, according to the celebrity gossip site TMZ.com.

"Ms. Marshall [Anna Nicole Smith] was obsessed with making sure that her baby was 'sexy,' " Alexis said of the late Playboy model, who died in a Florida hotel last week.

"Ms. Marshall knew that the cor rect amount of baby food was three ounces every three hours . . . Ms. Marshall insisted that the maximum I was to give was 2.5 ounces."

The blond bombshell, who rose to prominence as a Playboy Playmate and then wife of a elderly oil tycoon, fought weight issues for most of her adult life. Smith reinvented herself in recent years as poster girl for a New Jersey- based nutritional supplement she claimed helped her beat the bulge. But the model took that weight obsession to obscene extremes with her newborn daughter, Dannielynn, according to the nanny.

"She is badly underweight and not thriving, as a baby should," said Alexis, in a Dec. 4 declaration.

Wayne Munroe, the Bahamian lawyer for Smith's estate, insisted Dannielynn is a healthy baby and cast the nanny as a "disgruntled [former] employee."

The birth certificate of Dannie lynn lists Smith's former lawyer and boyfriend, Howard K. Stern, as the father. But a Los Angeles photographer and Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband both have also claimed paternity - and the list of would-be dads appears to be growing.

"Some German chap came into my office today and claimed he is the father," said Munroe, adding that there'll be "a lot of bad behavior" before the estate is settled.

Friends of the world-famous model have said Smith went into a tailspin when her 20-year-old son, Daniel Smith, died soon after her daughter's birth.

Alexis, the nanny, said Smith tried to take her own life twice after her son's death - first by downing a sleep aid and then throwing herself into a pool.

"I wanted to die . . . I meant to kill myself," Alexis quoted Smith as saying later.

She claimed she saw Stern fishing Smith out of the pool and saying after the rescue: "If anything happens to you, I would go to jail."

According to People magazine, Smith had been fighting pneumonia for months.

Quoting Stern's sister, Bonnie Stern, the magazine reported that Smith developed such a high fever in the days before her death that she was placed in an ice bath.

"Anna wouldn't let them take her to the hospital," Bonnie Stern said. "She knew it would be all over the media."

TMZ.com also reported yesterday that Smith - late in her pregnancy - had the painkiller demerol, sleeping aide dalmane, anti-heroin medication methadone and vitamin B-12 shipped to her in the Bahamas.

The methadone was prescribed in the name of Smith's alias "Michelle Chase," according to the Web site.
