True, the media made LT out as this "great" kid...BULL! I lost all respect for this sore loser.
Brady is a great QB--just an ice man under pressure. I knew the 6.5 point opening spread was too high. The sharp guys bet it down to something like 4 by game time.
I just video on the field after the game. He refused to shake any of the Patriot players' hands. Caldwell tried to get him to but he just walked away from him.
Nope, it was yelling, maybe it would have gone past yelling but his teammates seperated him. There wasn't a swing, there was nothing even remotely punishable by NFL standards.
Yup, Rivers was criticized for his clock management during the last drive of the Seattle game in December, but he threw the scoring touchdown with seconds left on the clock. He couldn't do it this time around, much less get them in better field goal position.
They'll be more than ready to play.
Ah I'm glad I don't have to work tomorrow. I can just listen to WEEI all day.
That's what good teams do. The Patriots are the greatest team in the history of the NFL. They make breaks.
That's absolute horsesh*t. The Pats are not the greatest team in NFL history. Lombardi's Packers, Paul Brown's Browns, Noll's Steelers, and Montana's Niners were unquestionably greater.
Hell, it could be argued that even Jim Plunkett's Raiders were better..
Why does the name, Bev Harris come to mind?...
To me, it comes back to the Charger intercepting the ball on fourth down and then fumbling it. In high school they teach you, don't intercept on 4th down. Knock it down.
They do?
Odd how Pats fans are leaving out the next sentence of LT's quote:
"We lost to a better team today," Tomlinson said. "Hopefully the next opportunity we have we'll learn something from this."
What did he say????
LT is just really PO'd that Marty never throws him any passes longer than 15 yards...lol. I think it's time for Marty to retire. Our GM, A.J. Smith is the real reason why the team did so well this year. He got Rivers, Merriman, and Kaeding in a trade for Eli Manning. He picked LT and Castillo and a few good free agents too.
Personally, I thought both of those non-fumbles (ruled against the Pats) SHOULD have been fumbles.
I mean, they were tucked on both of them. I guess just do not understand the rule.
But is true it was really dumb to challenge that last fumble and lose the timeout. I knew from the end of the play there would not be as successful challenge of that one.
Or how about the muffed punt return? One of the first things these guys are taught is if you blow a punt, you fall on the ball and smother it. You sure as hell don't go trying to pick it up and making the NFL Prime Time highlight reel.
I could go on and on. This game was full of stuff like that.
Yeah, and the other really bad mistake was Eric Parker fumbling a punt and then trying to pick it up instead of falling on it. I'm sorry, but if I was Smith I would quietly release Parker next week. He's a good guy but you have to think better than that in big games.
You're right. I had the circular firing squad going in the wrong direction. LOL. But I'm a Broncos, Patriots and Seahawks fan ... it is not safe to be in the same room with me when two of the three above teams play each other.
I don't know...I was pretty damned impressed with what I saw today!
I think the antics at the end were just anger at losing a close battle.
