he was upset because the Patriots celebrated on "his" field so he called them classless

The gall of him to call the Patriots classless. Reche Caldwell was still in contact with a lot of his former teammates on the Chargers, and he said the San Diego players completely disrespected the Patriots, didn't think they had any chance, and that the Chargers were busy making plans for the Super Bowl. Not the mark of a championship team.

They were damn good which is why I think they're so shocked they lost this game.

I just caught the part about how he (LT) "didn't like the Pats celebrating on his field,it was disrespectful...." something about imitating Marriman, something like that.....

Memo to LT: if you don't like the Pats celebrating on your field...DON'T LOSE TO THEM ON YOUR HOME FIELD!

Yeah...that would handle that. I really was surprised by his actions....we are constantly told LT is this unassailable Saint and he acts like a jackass, I won't hold it against him, but he needs to handle himself a lot better than that.

That whole damned drive was just, WTF? Throwing into the middle of the field with no timeouts left, taking their time lining up while the seconds tick away. Just terrible coaching and play calling. If they'd managed the clock better, they may have been able to get closer for the FG attempt. Just 10 more yards would have been the difference.

It's surprising to think he could be canned after going 14-2. It just looks like his offensive scheme works fine in the regular season, but when he plays the best defenses that are playing really hard in the playoffs he can't score enough points. I think that is because he doesn't fully utilize the talent of his very best athletes (LT and Gates) in his playbook. That's how Walsh beat everybody in the playoffs. His offense pulled out all the stops and they threw deep to everybody who could run reasonably well when defenses we're expecting it. Walsh would throw deep to Waters and even 25 yards downfield to guys like Tom Rathman. Marty doesn't throw anything longer than 15 yard passes to LT or Michael Turner. I'm not an NFL coach, but I think that's dumb. Bring back Bill Walsh as Chargers head coach!

Perhaps we have started a great East Coast vs. West Coast rivalry. If Rivers can improve some more I think we can beat NE or Indy next year. As tough as it sounds, I would also replace Marty with Wade Phillips or ideally bring in Bill Walsh from Stanford for a couple of seasons.

To me it looked like they had to pull him off of two Patriots' players. Looked like more than yelling to me.

I have no idea where that came from. I know he's upset but he'll get over it.

As a Laker fan, I used to be plenty miffed when the Celtics would dance all over us to win titles, and as a Raider fan, I used to hate when K.C. (with Schottenfraud as their coach) would beat us late in a game, and then declare "I told you they'd f***in' fold!"

But like it or not, those teams had what mattered at the end: Scoreboard.

The Pats are in win mode right now. They are all always on alert to the little opportunities that mean the difference between winning and losing. They won't take the Colts lightly. They will beat them by 14 points, though.

That was a ragged final drive, but I'll bet the receivers on the outside were all covered so if Philip had thrown to them it would have been picked off. At least he got us a 54-yard attempt. But we needed that one timeout lost in that dumb challenge.
