Did you hear what he said in the press conference?
Yeah, I think Marty may get fired for that challenge beacause one more timeout would have been very useful to set up the last field goal attempt.
No, what did he say?
That and the decision to go for it on 4th down in the 1st quarter I could not understand.
He was upset because the Patriots celebrated on "his" field so he called them classless and said they "probably learn that from their head coach."
You lost. Get over it. We eat MVP's for breakfast.
Talentwise, maybe. But in terms of coaching and team discipline, I think Indy's light years ahead of the Chargers, based on what I saw today.
Apparently the 48 yard FG attempt would have been into a fairly strongly breeze so he went for it on 4th and 11.
What did LT say? I hope he doesn't want a trade.
Sorry, missed it MPF. What'd he say?
ROFLMAO!!!
If I were the NFL I would suspend LT for the first 2 games of next season. We don't need that kind of behavior at the end of playoff games. The playoffs are supposed to be the highlight of the season.
Who else but Marty could be looking at a real chance of being canned after a 14-2 season?
He can say whatever he wants as long as he doesn't use the word "trade." But what is his point about Belechek? Bill is not a big on-field celebrator as far as I know.
Apparently Marty never learned his lesson of 20 years ago this week. As a lifetime Browns fan of 40+ years and counting, I fully expected the Pats to win this one.
This was a tough game for me to see. Which ex-Browns coach do I want to see lose more? I'm just glad CBS didn't show footage of Elway and The Drive at the end of the game.
I was also a little surprised SD didn't try to run one more quick out pattern with 8 seconds to go, to get a little closer. I know it would be a gamble with no time outs remaining, but no more gamble than a 50+ yd FG would have been, IMO.
No doubt and they're a hell of a lot more classy.
By far. I really had no idea how tough the Chargers were on both sides of the ball. They would have been going to Miami if not for us. The Colts wouldn't have had a chance beating this team in San Diego next week.
Apparently some of the Patriots did the Merriman dance.
It is amazing.
I have no idea where that came from. I know he's upset but he'll get over it.
