An arrest in the JonBenet Ramsey case is due to happen "shortly," according to sources in our newsroom -- I know I can't post the link to our site (we're a Gannett station, and despite the "ban", I would welcome the traffic), but most of you know where I work and what the site is...
According to our sister station in Denver, an arrest took place early this morning in Thailand.
Stand by for details and updates as they come in.

It took a mere seven years for the Boulder law enforcement community to send the FBI the DNA sample that was found in JonBenet's underpants. It was determined a long time ago that this DNA sample did not belong to anyone in the Ramsey family. If that's true, then they deserve a degree of contempt. But does that DNA prove that the family had nothing to do with the crime?

Too bad DU didn't exist back in 1996, otherwise he could have employed a DU troll (serially horrendous spellers) to make the ransom note appear more authentic.

Yep. And the beaches in Thailand are about as good as those in Aruba, if she wants to go do some broadcasts.

I have been absolutely convinced of their innocence ever since I read the Vanity Fair article about the case.
The number of lies that were out there, stated as truth, was amazing.

NEWS reports say Patsy KNEW before she died If she knew doesn't that make her a bigger POS than the murderer.

this is bittersweet news for the Ramsey family. WHoever did this I hope gets the ultimate punishment. I bet this guy who did it was in prison in Thailand and was bragging to other's about what he did to this little girl in Boulder, CO and that is how he got caught! I'm saddend that Patsy died before seeing her daughter's killer be brought to justice.

John Kard

Of course it does, but simply because it "does happen" doesn't mean that every time a child dies, a parent must be the guilty party. I'm simply attempting to apply some logic to it. Maybe the parents did it, maybe they didn't (and it appears now that they weren't the guilty parties). But everyone who assumes that they MUST HAVE done it because of a personal distaste they have for the family (or the perceptions of the family based on media reports) made gross errors. Can you not agree with that?
