According to the report I just read, the authorities "briefed" the father that an arrest was expected out of the country. So it couldn't be him

I am glad Patsy knew before she died. I never, ever for one second believed either parent (or brother or step brother) was involved.

Patsy is with her now so I am not too worried about that part.

I find it telling about your personality that even though a grand jury wouldn't indict them, you somehow "know" they had something to do with it. And somehow you are so in their heads that you know a "girl like that" wouldn't sleep in her clothes. Perhaps you should go on some game shows?
