i have been writing these since the first bbs's came out. have never used caps and never will. it is a recognized style.
I recognize that style! It's called "illiterate."

I guess they want soliders on US bases to follow US civilian law in this regard

The government needs to decide whether people are adults at 18 or 21 and stick to it

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

It's like the print equivalent of mumbling.

I trust, Doo, that you meant to address your comments to Rider237 instead of Mr. Lucky?

I mumble when I make speeches. So what if it sounds like I don't care and nobody takes me seriously.
It is a recognized "style."
The first humans mumbled as well. That gave way to the elocution you now enjoy.

the first drug test i remember was in 1980....maybe that's why drinking went up after? Most likely, since addicts generally change from one chemical crutch for another...but I sure as hell didn't need risk my life by having fuzzy head or altered brain chemistry during first Gulf War.
There are plenty other avenues to reduce anxiety and stress without resorting to alcohol or nicotine.

And also those who broadly insult groups of Freepers whom don't have the guts to respond directly to.

The whole point of rules of grammar are so that the person you are writing to (your audience) understands what you are writing. It is not about YOU, it is about the person to whom you are writing.Bingo! It's called communication. I've spent days composing and writing a business proposal.

My middle son joined the Navy when he was 18. He would call, all upset, because he always drew duty and only the 21 and older got shore leave. I was sympathetic that if he was old enough to serve his country.... but I was thinking YESSSSSSS! :')
