I don't think she saw it until after graduation.
Hey,! Long time, no hear from! Glad you're back in the computer world! Also glad to hear that ankle is on the mend. Now that you've got the equipment, don't be a stranger!
I was just curious to know if she had any complaints about your change in her wardrobe :~D
Prayers that the ankle brace does the trick!
~I~ had nothing to do with it.
I was the sports editor that year. ;-)
Heh...classic.
Portobella mushrooms were on sale this week at Albertson's. Still pretty pricey, but...I like 'em.
Gonna grill them tonight. I've not done that before, but I imagine they'll be dandy.
Are those the really big ones? They've always a scared me a little :~)
Mmmm. Grilled portobellos. They fit nicely on a burger bun!
Yeah, the hugh meaty ones. And these ones are even bigger than the usual.
I've marinated and broiled them before, but not grilled them.
They're good even broiled, but they should be great cooked over charcoal.
Supposedly you can even eat 'em like a burger - with the bun and all the fixings. I don't think I'd take 'em that far, but they are pretty favorful.
Heh...cross-posting!
I may try some steak sauce on mine. We'll see. I already marinated them very briefly in red wine, olive oil and some garlic and onion.
Portabellas are wonderful on a good quality cracked wheat bun with lettuce, tomato, red onion and catsup!! Though I really have never thought they taste like steak, no matter how much OB tries to convince me of that.
Tastes like chicken...
They do have their own taste...they take on something of a meat-like flavor, but they aren't meat.
But I like mushrooms, so I'm OK with that. ;-)
If these turn out good...I may run back for more before the sale is over. I can eat grilled stuff every day when I have time to fire up the grill...
LOL! But frog legs do...LSA
Remember how we'd hit artichoke sales? That was fun.
Rinse, repeat.
LOL!
Good morning.
Probably so!
I showed the can to Steve last night and I had done such a good job that he literally couldn't tell I'd done it. I said "Can you see anything unusual about this can?" He looked at it carefully and then said he couldn't!
Ha!
When I was in second grade, the teacher gave us cardboard naked cupids to color around Valentine's Day. All the other kids painted theirs red, without exception. I painted mine wearing blue jeans, red sneakers, and a red and white plaid long-sleeve shirt. The teacher put them up on the wall and mine really stood out. I thought it was really really funny.
I'll remember not to send you the flag of Virginia...
G'mornin everyone.
I woke up still feeling like the world's biggest idiot because of my dumb move yesterday.
Turns out that instead of being "pets allowed", this house is "case-by-case". So that means I have to wait for the Property Manager to call the owners and ask if we can have a dog.
But since I thought pets were already allowed, the girls and I went down to the Humane Society yesterday and found the most wonderful dog. I put down $20.00 to hold her through today, but I have a sinking feeling that we either won't get an answer today or the answer will be "no".
So I feel like such an idiot for not verifying the policy first. The girls will be just heartbroken and it's my fault. ~sigh~
