Never did make it out there. The coolest scout trip was the 50 miler by canoes we did up in Boundary Waters. We did that as a family also (either the year before or the year after, I forget). We never had the right time or money to make it to Philmont. My dad went when he was a kid but me and my brother never did. Just did the local scout camp several years.

we're leanin' towards Gunner...
muh dad suggested Whitey... kinda like that too...
Well, if you go with Gunner, you're gonna have to take him pheasant hunting :~)
Gunnar is a good spelling for it too...

2 pm. It's official; I printed the invites tonight and I am *not* reprinting them.
Hehe... yes... celedon and then late summer flower colors. Reds, orange, yellow. But mostly celedon. The ceremony is indoors and the reception is a picnic in a lovely park. With a giant slide. Heh.
Yah but not ver dem dam svedes, ya hey?
HA! Good one!
Or ducks or geese. Them labs luv cold water and retrieving.
Well, most do, work with a fella that has a lab that will wade just a bit but doesn't care for swimming at all.
I thought it might be some strange elf...
Heh... I had one of those :~)
Logan would eventually go, but he'd wade around first if it was real cold... He was not one of those that bound and leap in and make their owners proud :~D
Heh, I'm doing exactly the opposite! Started packing the contents of the hutch and buffet in the dining room today. Gots one done, and fixing to go start the other. Right now I'm trying to get all my Christmas dishes into boxes all together, so I'll know where they are come Christmas!
Oh, celadon with the reds, oranges and yellows will be gorgeous. Seems I've seen that combo before on reproduction colonial era wallpapers. The celadon is the background color and the others are flowers or Jacobean designs.
It'll be pretty! I'm happy anyway...
Will that be the color of the attendant's gowns, too? It's a very popular color in bridal fashions lately. I noticed that when my sister was searching for Mother of the Bride dresses last summer.
Jen says 'yes'.
