Aaand the Dinklemeyer:
This strip continues the Freddy gets detention story. Again, it is very much based on something that happened to me in the 6th grade. In fact, the teacher in this strip is very much based on the my 6th grade teacher. (I got in trouble for someone stealing my book and leaving it in the middle of the floor).

No new announcements this week. Just gonna' say that the archives are on my home page, and I'm sorry I'm a few minutes late tonight.
And enjoy.

GREAT Al Gore!!! He'd make a perfect Al-Qaida Leader.
On another note...stripped naked and scared for life huh? Eeeeeeeeee.

"...and I'm sorry I'm a few minutes late tonight."
You get thirty days in the hole for the transgression.

I'm sorry I'm a few minutes late tonight. We'll just have to scar you for life, but you don't have to strip naked.

Sorry I was gone, everyone. As usual, the dog demanded a walk. Only this time, I had take him for 2 just to get him to number 2.

Doing great, doing great.
There have been tumultuous times on the singles thread. We miss you there, but Dolly does a very good job.

That Dinklemeyer strip reminds me of how teachers can blame the wrong person for something. When it happened to me in 6th grade, I ended up with lunch detention for the rest of the year.
Lunch detention is like Hell, but with attitude.

Oh! Okay. We all thought you were getting branded. :P
To: Maximus_Ridiculousness
Gore's gotta' get SOMEone to love him.
I didn't get branded, but if I had had a cattle prod, it might have made the walk a little easier.

Oh Phil.. both were a hoot! thank you!
I love the idea of Gore & we need to include Murtha & Reid as other assistants.. and of course Pelosi & Biden.. the possibilities are endless.
the Durk one to made me recall my years of teaching & how we & students often just didn't see things in the same light, shall I say?
Appreciate you work & the ping. Know it is tougher now that you are out in the work force.

There have been tumultuous times on the singles thread. We miss you there, but Dolly does a very good job. Well, I was gone for about two months, so it would be nothing but gossip for me to try and find out anything that went on during that time.
But I'll have to check in some weekend and say "hi."

Yeah, best forget about all that. I know I'd like to!
We'd like to see you drop by again. Although a lot of people who used to post there back then are gone and a lot of new people are there.
Still, it's nice to see old friends.
