Yeah, I'm not all that big into Superman, and my Pings page is cluttered enough as it is.

I have to admit, I've never seen him in a bad performance.

Kevin Spacey is the best Kevin Spacey impersonator I've ever seen.

Pity that's his favorite role.

I read the book.

Think Superman one's plot on a bigger scale. "What's the one thing they ain't makin' any more of? LAND."

I'll wait for the DVD.

I especially liked Superman II - General Zod rocked.

When I was a kid, my favorite characters were the Thing and Spider-man. I always used to get hacked that they tried to make Mr. Fantastic the cool one in the Fantastic Four. I'd flip through the pages of the rest of them to get to the Thing pages.

My favorite comics, though, were the Warren horror comics.

They had, by far, the best comic artists around. Frazetta, Neal Adams, Jeff Jones, Steve Dikto, Alex Toth, Wally Wood, Reed Crandall, and on and on. I think Jack Kirby is the only great comic artist of the era that never worked for them.

I'll also admit to a secret crush on Betty Cooper.

I was really into the Warren books as a kid. In fact, one of my alltime favorite horror stories appeared in a Warren book, by Berni Wrightson. I can't recall the name off the top of my head but I vividly recall the illustrations. It was about a man out hunting and he sees another guy about to kill a deformed girl, and he shoots the guy dead, and brings the girl to live with his family...

One of the biggest influences on my own writing.

The Warren books were really The Stuff for a kid like me--violence, sex, and cynical endings. Reading it made you feel you were in dangerous territory.

Later I found out Jim Warren was a real cretin to the artists and writers who created the stories he got rich on.

Bobby Darin and K-Pax were very different roles.

Oooh, Frank Langella. I've drooled over him, at least the Dracula version, since that movie came out. Not as appealing in Dave, though. Still... he's a good actor.

Don't forget he was the assistant scientist in Outbreak. He's a good actor IMO.

Spacey looks like he's having fun playing Luthor, much in the spirit of Gene Hackman. That's exactly what the role needs.
